Tears wiped away, we go again as the new Bell Jar (just a bar). Cold and hot drinks from 12pm daily with some luxury bar snacks to be added soon.

But first, thanks to these absolute legends for everything.

No thanks at all to the warmongers and the oligarchs and the governments who are driving hospitality into the grave.

But more on that another time.

Bit emotional in here tonight but a few drinks may be taken later so we'll take the Monday off to recover.

Thanks to all who attended the kitchen's last supper over the weekend. Natasha and the boys have been utterly incredible and professional throughout this difficult period and this last menu has been an utter belter. They will always be a massive part of The Bell Jar family.

The Bell Jar is officially just a pub as of Tuesday 12pm. We go again.

Hello. Open again from 5pm Wednesday 15th. Here are the small plates for this week. We'll be open reduced hours this week but will post soon.

Also, bookings are really filling up for the next couple of weeks from the kitchen farewell so best to act quickly before it's gone forever

Some bad news. Our kitchen will permanently close on the 2nd August after one final Sunday Roast day. Normal service until then. After that, we will revert to being just a pub.

Sadly, we have just not been busy enough to keep operating as we have done since 2018. The game has changed and it's increasingly challenging to be a pub that sells food. Everything costs more for everyone and we're in the margin that's getting squeezed the hardest.

We will continue on as a bar with excellent drinks, tunes, bar snacks and now with more space to do those things in.

Thanks to our loyal regular diners over the years and especially all of our great staff who've made many fine small plates, somehow survived the covid "big plates" nightmare and various Bell Jar calamities.

So, do try to get in over the next few weeks for one last small plates hurrah.
