📰 READ ALL ABOUT IT! 📰

This month’s wonderful Gilsland Village Magazine is now out, and it seems our newest team member, Hugo, has got his paws all over it! 🐾

We’re fairly certain he’ll be sharing the brandy snaps recipe with Chef Adam before long! 🍪👨‍🍳

A huge well done to the Year 6 pupils at Gilsland CE School for getting through their SATs – a fantastic achievement. 👏

It was also lovely to read how well supported Judy’s annual plant sale was this year. We even have some of the sunflowers from the sale thriving in our beer garden and looking fantastic. 🌻🍻

There’s certainly plenty happening in Gilsland as we kick off the summer season, and it’s wonderful to see such a vibrant community spirit.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who work so hard to create, produce and distribute this fantastic magazine each month. It really is a wonderful way of keeping everyone connected and up to date with village life.

The weekend at The Samson Inn means one thing… Chef Adam is back in the kitchen creating something special.

The only problem? We don’t know what’s coming yet… and neither do you.

What a fantastic example of British farmers doing what they’ve always done – coming together, supporting one another, and showing the strength, character and community spirit that runs through our countryside.

Here in rural Cumbria, surrounded by hardworking farming families, this victory feels especially close to home. We know that farming isn’t just a job – it’s a way of life, built on generations of dedication, resilience and community.
