To help celebrate Great British Game Week, join us on Saturday 7th November for a special Game Masterclass. Head Chef, Connor, will share his passion for the flavours of the moorlands, showing you how he prepares and cooks some of the outstanding game nurtured and reared right here. The event begins at 11.30am and includes a delicious two-course lunch – one of the courses will be the very dish Connor demonstrates for you. The price per person is £55.

We’re looking for a Housekeeping and Reservations Supervisor to join our team at The Kirkstyle Inn & Sportsman’s Rest Slaggyford, Northumberland.

35 hours per week split over 5 days.
The ideal candidate should be computer literate.
Previous hospitality experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Housekeeping experience essential as hands on help will also be required.

We are utterly delighted to have made it onto the North East England Tourism short list for Pub of the Year 2027.

This award is extra special as it denotes our continued contribution to tourism in the north east. To us this translates into our ongoing investment and support of our local community, creating jobs and contributing to the economy.

We’re delighted to invite you to an exceptional dining experience on Wednesday 21st October, when Connor will be joined in the kitchen by guest chef Tomás Gormley to prepare a menu of wonderful seasonal dishes, showcasing their individual creativity and shared passion for local, sustainable produce.

Celebrated chef Tomás and his team opened Cardinal, Edinburgh in March 2024, presenting their elevated take on modern Scottish dining.
