This Wednesday is W**e Art Wednesday, and we are officially FULLY BOOKED! Thank you to everyone who has signed up. I can’t wait to get creative with you all.

A few details for the evening:
Arrival from 7pm
We start promptly at 7.30pm
Two hour art lesson and a glass of w**e
£20 per person

This month we’re taking a little inspiration from Banksy and creating our own stencil art.

Banksy’s work is often anti-authoritarian, using satire, humour and striking imagery to make powerful statements about the world we live in. His art gets people thinking, questioning and sometimes challenging the things we take for granted.

Before I run a class, I always like to have a go myself. What would I create? How could I turn something I’m experiencing into a piece of art?

For me, it’s hospitality. Across the board, the industry is struggling and so many of us are running on empty. We need to have a serious conversation about the pressures facing pubs and restaurants, including the high rate of VAT we pay compared with much of Europe.

So that got me thinking… if I were to create a Banksy inspired piece, what would it look like? so I had a go!

What would yours be about? Politics, the environment, something happening in your community, or something closer to home?

Art doesn’t always have to be pretty. Sometimes it just needs to make people stop, look and think.

I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with on Wednesday!

A Mini Wild Wander with Chloe

A little autumn magic, a whole lot of exploring and plenty of lovely things to find, make and discover along the way!

A big thank you to the lovely for being our special trick or treat stop! The children absolutely loved their treats, and it was such a lovely addition to our adventure.

THRILLER? GHOSTBUSTERS? TIME WARP?

This Friday night we’re going OLD SCHOOL with a Halloween disco in the bar!

We’ve got Jonny C, who you might recognise from Gunfest, bringing the tunes and raising the spirits (quite literally) for a night of proper pub fun.

Dust off your dancing shoes, raid the dressing-up box and come as something spooky, silly or downright terrifying!

BEST DRESSED WINS A £30 BAR TAB!

We’re talking witches, vampires, zombies, questionable monsters and whatever else crawls out of your wardrobe. The more effort, the better!

Worried about working up an appetite? Fear not, dinner will be served in the restaurant!

FROM 7PM THIS FRIDAY

No tickets, no entry fee, no tricks (well, maybe a few). Just turn up, buy a drink and join the fun.

Go on, don’t be a scaredy-cat. We promise we’re only mostly harmless!

See you on the dance floor, you little monsters! 🎃

What a night! The Gun became The Wi******er for one night only, and what a night it was!

There were frights, plenty of laughs, some spooky goings-on and just a little trouble with the audio connection! We like to think it all added to the immersive experience!

From savoury Cornettos to Wi******er pie and mash, ghoulish puddings and ghastly bubbles, we certainly put our own spin on things. And you lot really got into the spirit of it, with some fantastic costumes and brilliant participation throughout the night.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who dressed up, joined in and helped make the evening so much fun.

And of course, a massive shout-out to Team Gun, front and back of house, for going above and beyond to bring it all to life. These nights take a lot of work behind the scenes, and you absolutely smashed it.

Despite a few unexpected twists, it was an absolutely brilliant night from start to finish.

Cheers, everyone! Here’s to more nights that are a little bit different, a little bit bonkers and a whole lot of fun!

Calling all little monsters!

Time to get those tiny terrors out of the house and into the wild! Join us for an hour of outdoor exploring, nature spotting and a little bit of mischief before heading back to the pub for a well deserved packed lunch.

Dressing up is very much encouraged, and who knows… we might even stumble across a few treats along the way!

£15 per child
Adults go FREE… but yes, you do have to come too!

Sunday lunch is in full swing! Who’s having a roast today, and what’s your favourite?

Personally, I can’t resist our Catch of the Day… especially with a side of roasties!

A quick update for you all: our phone lines are still down, so a huge thank you to everyone who has been reaching out to us via social media. We really appreciate your patience while we get this sorted.

We’ve been unable to identify the fault, so we’re making the switch to a broadband phone line, which we’ll need to do eventually anyway.

In the meantime, please keep contacting us via Instagram or Facebook. I’m pretty quick at replying on there, whereas our email inbox has a habit of getting a little overwhelmed!

We’ll keep you all updated, and thanks again for bearing with us.

THIS MONDAY… THE WI******ER OPENS ITS DOORS.

We’ve got a date with destiny, and it’s going to be a proper night of undead fun.

On Monday 26th October, we’re transforming The Gun into The Wi******er for one night only, bringing Shaun of the Dead to life with an immersive experience that promises a night to remember.

Expect four courses of themed food, two specially created themed drinks, and plenty of undead surprises along the way.

Monday 26th October
Doors open from 7pm
Experience starts at 7.30pm
Four courses + two themed drinks
£60 per person

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged, so dig out your best zombie look, grab your nearest and dearest, and prepare to survive the night in true Wi******er style.

Having finally recovered from a wonderful w**e tour of Germany from the comfort of Findon wanted to share some pictures of a lovely evening.

Thanks to everyone who attended and to Joe Wadhams for hosting.

We will be taking a break from this now until January when we will be going classic with a good old fashioned Cheese and W**e night watch this space it will be a good one.
