Here's a candid picture of Rudi our venue manager here at Nobles!
If you've visited us in the past few months you've probably already met him, we thought we'd ask him a couple questions so you can get to know him even more.
Where were you brought up? And how long have you been in Edinburgh?
"I’m originally from Northern Ireland, but Edinburgh’s been home for the last 10 years."
How long have you been in hospitality, and where have you worked before?
"I’ve been in hospitality and management for quite a few years now. Before Nobles, I was General Manager at The Portobello Tap, and I’ve also worked at The Cambridge Bar, plus a fair few years in retail and hospitality management before that."
What’s your favourite drink?
"Probably the Bohemian Pilsner. Although one of Geli’s Bloody Marys is very hard to say no to. They make a pretty amazing one."
What’s your favourite thing about Nobles?
'The character of the place. It’s got loads of personality, a great atmosphere, and it really feels like part of The Shore."
What’s the best thing you’ve eaten at Nobles?
"The cottage pie. Easy answer."
Any plans for Nobles?
"I’d love to get Nobles even more involved with the local community and really show off what Leith and The Shore are all about. There are so many brilliant local businesses, breweries and producers around us, so I’d love to work with more of them, get involved in more local events, and keep making Nobles feel like a proper part of the area."
