Two of the country's most admired and experienced guitarists, together as a duo here at the Malt for the very first time after many great sessions with many of our favourite bands over the years. 📢 UPDATE ‼️

We are happy to learn that the building owners at Waterside House have withdrawn the planning application to turn all the offices above the Malt & Hops into Short Term Lets.

We sincerely thank those who spoke up for the local independent businesses and the impact upon the area in general.

In particular we thank Ben Macpherson SNP for Edinburgh North Eastern and Leith for his diligence in facilitating the discussions with the building owners who are now actively engaged with the The Shore, Leith to develop a new proposal for the space which works better for the business ecosystem at the Shore.

Preliminary discussions have been very successful and are all looking forward to a prosperous future for this most excellent of streets.
