After a very busy week, we'd like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all those lovely customers, both locals and visitors who have supported our wee business during our 25th Cowal Gathering week at The 51st State & La Cantina...it means a lot! 😊😊😊

Thanks also to our terrific team of staff who smiled and worked really hard to make it happen, Toast for their excellent Friday Night Live Gig as always, Robert Carmichael for his epic marathon performance on Saturday, Billy and PJ for their toe tapping and smiley faces and of course Kirkcaldy and District Pipe Band who took a detour from the March past to pay us another visit. Here's a wee taster of their superb in-house performance with us on Saturday evening. 🎵🎤🎸🎵🎤🎸

Finally for nearly 20 years we've sponsored the Most Entertaining Band Competition Prize money at Cowal. We're delighted to hear that Dunoon's own Dunoon Grammar School Pipe Band won the prize this year. Congratulations. 🏆🎵😊🏆🎵😊

COWAL SATURDAY AT THE 51ST STATE

We would like to wish everyone a very happy and successful 2026 Cowal Highland Gathering - good luck to all the competitors!

We're open for food and serving until around 8pm.

We're not taking any bookings today however, we're operating a walk-in service only in La Cantina - first come, first served!

We've operating our Cowal menu for the day which hosts a number of our favourites from our regular main menu. Our Gluten Free, Vegan and Kids menus are still available.

Our Cowal menu also hosts two special dishes for the weekend including Steak Pie and Chicken Curry 😋

We're open for food with our Cowal menu which feature the bets highlights from our regular menu. We're operating a walk-in service for food, so it's first come first served until 8pm.

The fun doesn't stop there!! We welcome back Toast from 9:30pm for a night of great music and good craic!!
