Earlier this season, our Head Greenkeeper, Alastair Brown, retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service to Dungannon Golf Club. It was therefore fitting that, on President's Day last Saturday evening, the Captain took the opportunity to acknowledge Alastair's outstanding contribution to the club.
In his remarks, the Captain praised Alastair's strong work ethic, professionalism and commitment, highlighting the key role he has played in developing and maintaining a well-maintained course, with excellent greens and beautifully kept fairways. As a token of appreciation, the Captain presented Alastair with a gift on behalf of the members.
In response, Alastair thanked the members for their generosity and support over the years. He also expressed his gratitude to the many members who have served on Council and various committees during his time at the club. Reflecting on his career, Alastair said that he had thoroughly enjoyed his years at Dungannon Golf Club and wished the club continued success in the future.
