What a weekend for our amazing young people! 🎭✨
Members of CRAIC Youth Theatre travelled to Letterkenny last weekend to perform at An Grianán Theatre as part of the All-Island Youth Theatre Project.
The group performed an original piece that they devised themselves, facilitated by the brilliant Aoibh Clarke and Cahal Clarke. It was a fantastic opportunity for our young people to collaborate, create and share their voices through theatre.
The All-Island Youth Theatre Project brings youth theatre groups together from across Ireland, with performances taking place on the same day in each of the four provinces. It celebrates youth creativity, connection and the power of young people telling their own stories.
A huge well done to everyone involved for their hard work, commitment and courage in bringing this piece to the stage. We are incredibly proud of you all! 👏
Thank you to Theatre and Dance NI and Youth Theatre Ireland for their continued support of this wonderful initiative, and to An Grianán Theatre for hosting such an inspiring event.
If you'd like to see this powerful piece for yourself, the group will be performing it at CRAIC Theatre as part of our annual Drama Showcase on 27th and 28th June. Their performance will close the showcase, giving local audiences the opportunity to see the work that has been created through this exciting all-island project.
