We’re pleased to welcome the Virtual Dementia and Virtual Autism Awareness Buses to CRAIC Theatre, Coalisland on Friday 16th October, from 10am–4.20pm.

These immersive experiences offer a unique opportunity to gain a greater understanding of some of the sensory, communication and everyday challenges that people living with dementia or autism may experience.

Using simulation technology, the sessions allow participants to experience situations from a different perspective — helping to build greater awareness, understanding and empathy.

The event is open to everyone, and may be particularly valuable for families, carers, professionals, volunteers, community groups or anyone who would simply like to better understand and support others.

When Wee Yarn Productions began creating Called Out, five women who are survivors of domestic violence trusted them with their experiences. Their honesty, courage and voices helped inform the piece and the story that would ultimately make its way to the stage.

Since then, one of those women has reached out and asked us to share, in her own words, what being part of Called Out has meant to her.

Today, we’re giving that space to her.

CRAIC Theatre and Wee Yarn Productions stand in solidarity with these five women, and with every survivor of domestic violence and abuse.

After so many people told us they were disappointed to have missed it the first time, Called Out returns to CRAIC Theatre for a special public performance on Saturday 17th October.

Called Out is a powerful and challenging piece of theatre confronting violence against women and girls - the behaviours, attitudes and experiences that too many women and girls continue to face.

Through home-written theatre, the piece opens up important conversations around misogyny, harassment, intimidation, abuse and the everyday behaviours that can so easily be dismissed or normalised.

It asks us to listen, to recognise these behaviours, to challenge them and, most importantly, to call them out.

If you missed it last time, this is your chance to see it.

OPEN AUDITIONS FOR THE CRUCIBLE

Audition sign-ups are now open for our upcoming production of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, directed by Aoibh Johnson.

We’re looking for performers aged 18+ to join us for this powerful production, taking to the CRAIC stage 14–24 April 2027.

Performers of colour are particularly encouraged to audition. We welcome performers of all backgrounds and levels of experience.
