A double delight at The Blue Bell tonight (Thursday)

Bao House is back in the village from 5.30 with their Asian cuisine. Following requests after their last visit, we’re pleased to have them back for a midweek treat. Just the thing to brighten up a cold, dark evening and give you a night off cooking.

Our Speed Quiz follows at 7.30, so why not make an evening of it? Food, a drink and a bit of friendly competition.

And remember, anyone can use the truck. You don’t have to come into the pub — if it’s a grab and go to eat at home, that’s all good too.

Quiz night tonight at The Blue Bell!

It’s Tuesday again, so Jon’s back with another evening of general knowledge from 8pm.

As always, there’ll be a good mixture of questions. Some you’ll know straight away, some you’ll have a good guess at and a few that’ll have the whole team scratching their heads!

So get a few of you together and come along for the evening. New teams are always welcome, and you certainly don’t have to be a quiz expert to join in.

Bao House is back in the village.

Following requests after their recent outside the pub, we’re pleased to welcome Bao House back to the village for a midweek treat this Thursday.

They’ll be here from 5.30 with their Asian cuisine — just the thing to brighten up these cold, dark nights and give you a night off cooking!

The Speed Quiz is also on that night from 7.30, so a double delight for a Thursday. A bite to eat, a drink and a bit of friendly competition. Sounds like a decent Thursday to us!

And remember, anyone can use the truck. You don’t have to come into the pub! If it’s a grab and go to eat at home, that’s all good too.

TACOS & TURNTABLES – THIS FRIDAY! 🎶

This Friday at The Blue Bell, we’re bringing together two of our favourite things. Great Street Food and great music!

We’ll have boxes of 7” singles on every table, so have a good rummage, see what you can find and bring your selections to Adam to put on the turntables.

Or bring your own records along. Part of the fun is discovering a record you’ve not heard for years, or picking something completely unexpected. You never quite know what will be played next!

🌮 Flindt’s Tortilla Truck will also be here from 5pm, serving delicious Mexican-inspired street food.
Please support the food truck even if you don’t come in to the pub. We’d love to keep these food trucks visiting the village but we need your help to support them. They’re much better than a Friday takeaway from town !

Join us this Friday from 5pm at The Blue Bell for tacos, tunes and plenty of musical surprises.

SUNDAY LUNCH RETURNS TO THE BLUE BELL

Kara will be returning to The Blue Bell from this week, with Sunday lunches starting this coming Sunday, 18th October, from 12 noon.

Kara will be introducing her plated Sunday lunches, served to your table.

Kara will be serving Sunday lunches only, so there won’t be food available at the pub on other days at the moment, apart from our occasional visiting food trucks. This may change, but for now it will be only Sunday lunches.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Kara back and welcoming you all to The Blue Bell for Sunday lunch once again!

Join us this Friday evening at The Blue Bell as Food Truck Friday returns with Bao House.

They’re always one of the most requested visitors to the pub and it seems a long while since we last had them here, so it’ll be great to have them back.

We’d really like to get the Food Truck Fridays going again and hopefully tempt a few more traders to come and visit us, but it only really works if we support them when they’re here.

You don’t have to come into the pub — although obviously we’d love you to! — the important thing is that the visiting traders get used. If they have a good night, they’re far more likely to come back.

Bao House will be serving a great selection of Asian-inspired street food, with plenty of flavour and something a little different for a Friday night.

So if you fancy something tasty this Friday, come down, support the truck and hopefully enjoy a drink with us while you’re here.

Thursday Night Speed Quiz at The Blue Bell

Simon is back tonight from 7.30pm with another Speed Quiz.

You know the answer, your team knows the answer, but somehow between you all, somebody still manages to press the wrong button!

Cash prizes up for grabs, iPads provided and a good mix of questions to get you arguing amongst yourselves.

Regulars and newcomers all welcome. You don’t need to be a genius, although it occasionally helps.

TACOS & TURNTABLES – FRIDAY NIGHT!

Vinyl Night is back at The Blue Bell, and this time we’ve got Flindt’s Mexican Street Food joining us too!

Unfortunately, Jonathan can’t make this one, so you’ll have to put up with Adam instead!
We’ve got hundreds of 7" singles to dig through, and that’s where the fun starts. Take a lucky dip, pick something out and we’ll put it on. You never quite know what’s coming next. It could be AC/DC, The Wurzels, Stevie Wonder, Dua Lipa or Paul Young. Who knows!

Bring your own records along too, and if you fancy 15 minutes behind the decks choosing and playing a few yourself, you’re more than welcome.

And as an added bonus, wear a band or music T-shirt and you’ll be in with a chance of winning a prize on the night!

Flindt’s will be serving from 5pm, with the records spinning from around then too.
Come and have a dig through the boxes, enjoy some fantastic Mexican food and see where the music takes us!
