A grade II Public house built in 1937 by Whitworth, Son & Nephew of Wath-upon-Dearne. A must-visit when in the area.

After years of neglect, refurbishment works shall commence late March 2020 to bring this popular village community pub back to life. Located in the centre of this picturesque village near Doncaster, stands opposite the village church this grade II public house built in 1937 by Whitworth, Son & Nephew of Wath-upon-Dearne. Though giving years of pleasure to loyal thirsty villagers the then pub suffered in more recent times through lack of investment and neglect. Listed on the National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors as it has remained largely unchanged for 80 years. In late 2019 a plan was agreed with the local heritage authorities to restore the pub to its former greatness of art décor grandeur. To be open in the summer of 2021, this community hub shall be welcoming for coffees to cocktails, bubbles to beer. Beer Garden & Terrace that is covered

At long last our Royal British Legion merch has arrived.
We have
Paper poppy and pins
Poppy reflectors (ideal for kids coats, keys etc)
Car poppies
Lanyard in white and blue
Silicone wrist bands for kids and adults.
Snap on bracelets in varying colours.
Stickers etc.

Here at The Coach & Horses Barnburgh, we support the and the great work they do to help members and veterans financially and emotionally.
Without this charity many people may not be here; they are certainly needed and probs my more so in the next few years.

Please give generously and you can be assured, every donation really helps them to support others and their families.

We have a collection box in the main bar and in the tap room.

It’s FRYYYDAY.
Yes guys Steve is back serving his very well reviewed Fish n Chips from 1700 today.
Homemade Tartare Sauce, mushy peas, hand cut chips cooked in beef dripping etc, etc.

It’s the end of the working week, the suns out so why cook at home?

Today Twisted Pig Doncaster visit us for a second time.
Their hand made smash burgers 🍔🍟are exceptional and made with three different cuts of meat.
Last time was our first try and we were amazed at the taste and the high quality presented

They’ll be here from 1700 and the guys are looking forward to serving you.

Just about an hour to go until the re-launch of our outside kitchen headed up by Steve Cockburn and The Kitchen at Coach & Horses Barnburgh .
It’s Friday and it’s fish ‘n’ chips time. All freshly triple cooked chips (beef dripping of course), the fresh cod fillets are coated in Don Valley Brewery’s own Atomic Blonde batter and homemade tartare sauce with mushy peas.

Over and above that, Steve is offering homemade desserts including a stunning cheesecake, brownies and not forgetting the infamous deep fried Mars Bar😍.

Yes it’s a bit naff weather wise but the pubs warm, the b**rs flowing and you are all welcome to eat in with a great drink or takeaway.

See you shortly. You can’t get better than this….

We are delighted to introduce another Don Valley Brewery keg b**r to you.
Teenage Dirtbag is a light yellow, full bodied hazy refreshing German style wheat 🌾 b**r, with clove aromas and a smooth banana flavours.

My first try today and I must say; it’s impressed me. Carrying a healthy ABV of 5.2 it’s a quality b**r full of body and depth.
I like it a lot.

Next visit, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. You know us by now, if we say it’s a good un, it’s a good un.
