Good Afternoon Ladles and Jellyspoons
As you all will now know the government is allowing us to open again on Saturday morning. Exciting as it all is,we still need to reduce the health risks to all Customers, and staff. The government has outlined steps and guidelines to follow and we would ask that you all follow these religiously. These guidelines are all new and will seem strange at first but we hope they will not spoil your enjoyment during your time here at Swinton Bottom Club. The safety of customers and staff is paramount and anyone who fails to follow social and hygiene procedures, therefore endangering others will be asked to leave.
We ask all customers to be respectful and patient during these new times as service may be slower and some drinks may not be available while we all adjust to the new routine.
We are working closely with the local council licencing officer and also the South Yorkshire police licencing officer and under the new guidelines there will be no pool, darts, dominoes or cards allowed to be played until further notice. The Tv's will all be on to show sport and music but will be at a sensible volume so as not to encourage shouting or raised voices.
You will now on entry be expected to use the hand sanitizer and wipes located at the doors to both rooms in the foyer area and will be asked to provide contact details which will be kept for 21 days in accordance with the track and trace measures implemented by the new guidelines, after this time your details will be destroyed. You will be asked to put your membership number as part of your contact details and if you are not a member already then we would expect you to become one at the earliest convenience at a reduced cost of ยฃ2 that covers you for the rest of the year.We hope this does not prevent you from feeling welcome here in the club.
Please remember parents and guardians are responsible to ensure under 18โs follow the guidelines.
Firstly. Do not enter the club if you are feeling unwell. Symptoms including high temperature, persistent cough.
Or have had contact with anyone showing signs of Covid-19.
All rooms will be open to customers during opening hours to aid with distancing guidelines and where possible, weather permitting, windows and doors will be open to aid ventilation.
There will be no lingering at the bar during busy times.
A fresh glass will be given every time,it's up to you if you wish to pour this into your own glass.
There will be table service available and a new system of paying for drinks either by card or by buying your drinks in advance, this is to reduce contact between staff and customers and reduces the need to keep opening the till for change.
The fire escapes will be exit only and we ask anyone smoking to use the designated areas.
Myself as Steward in accordance with the committee have the authority to refuse entry if we have reached a capacity level where the 1mtr distancing rule cannot be followed safely.
We ask all customers to be aware that the staff will be wiping your tables down frequently and as a gesture would ask that you keep your own tables uncluttered and that you would use the waste bins provided around each room.
Toilets will be limited to 2 people at a time where possible and ask that you wash your hands thoroughly before returning to your table.
We hope you all follow these guidelines and use common sense as much as possible..We are entering an unprecedented era and if all measures put in place are followed then hopefully it will not be long before we can return to normality.
Thank you for you cooperation and look forward to seeing you all very soon....
