❤️ GOOD NEWS, A HAPPY ENDING & ONE FINAL THANK YOU! 🍻

We're pleased to report that both of our stolen miner ornament and lamp have now been safely returned!

Following our appeal, a friend of the family recognised the individual pictured and helped bring the matter to a swift conclusion.

The individual concerned has apologised, which we acknowledge and appreciate. However, an apology doesn't excuse petty theft, particularly when the items taken hold such sentimental value.

Nevertheless, we're delighted to have them back where they belong, and we'd like to thank everyone who shared our appeal, offered information or sent messages of support. ❤️

NOW, ON A MUCH LIGHTER NOTE… 🍻

What a fantastic send-off we had yesterday!

To everyone who joined us for one final Sunday lunch, popped in for a few drinks or simply came along to wish us well, you made our final day at Cadeby Pub & Restaurant a truly memorable one.

The atmosphere, laughter, familiar faces and genuine warmth shown by everyone made it a fitting end to our chapter.

It really was a terrific send-off, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to finish!

So, with our treasured ornaments safely returned and some wonderful final memories made, we can now close this chapter on a much happier note.

As our chapter closes, we look forward to the next. ❤️

Cheers everyone! 🍻

❤️ AND THAT'S A WRAP… THANK YOU, CADEBY! 🍻

Well, that's it. Our final service at Cadeby Pub & Restaurant has come to an end, and what an emotional day it's been.

We couldn't have wished for a better way to finish our journey, surrounded by familiar faces, loyal customers and friends who have supported us along the way.

We also want to say a particularly heartfelt thank you to everyone who has messaged us privately or commented on our closure announcement. We have all been genuinely overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of sympathy, kindness and support. Your words have touched us more than you could possibly imagine and have meant so much during what has been an incredibly difficult time. ❤️

A special mention must go to our wonderful team, both past and present. Your hard work, dedication and commitment have helped make Cadeby the special place it has been, and we are immensely proud of everything we've achieved together.

Although our doors have now closed, this certainly isn't the end of Cadeby's story. We look forward to seeing this wonderful pub given a new lease of life and continuing its place at the heart of the community for many years to come.

For now, we leave with wonderful memories, lasting friendships and immense pride in having been part of Cadeby's history.

From all of us at Cadeby Pub & Restaurant and Don Valley Brewery, take care and cheers to the memories! 🍻

💔 AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CADEBY PUB & RESTAURANT

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we announce Cadeby Pub & Restaurant will close its doors following service on Sunday 18th October 2026.

After months of deliberation, difficult conversations and yet another challenging trading period, we have reached a decision we never wanted to make.

The British pub industry is facing immense pressures. Increasing taxes and regulatory burdens, soaring operating and employment costs, and changing consumer habits have made life increasingly difficult for even long-established businesses.

Sadly, Cadeby has not been immune. Despite continued investment, hard work and determination, the financial realities of operating the business have become unsustainable.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly. It is one we have fought hard to avoid.

For decades, Cadeby has been more than a pub and restaurant. It has been a place for family celebrations, Sunday lunches, friendships and countless special memories. We are proud to have played a part in that history.

Our greatest sadness is for our wonderful team, whose dedication, loyalty and hard work have meant so much. To them, and to every customer who has supported us over the years, we offer our heartfelt thanks.

❤️ WE SINCERELY HOPE THIS IS NOT THE END OF CADEBY'S STORY.

The premises will now be placed on the market in the hope of finding a new operator who can bring fresh ideas, renewed enthusiasm and a new lease of life to this much-loved venue.

EXISTING BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS

Customers with bookings beyond our closure date will be contacted over the coming days, including details of arrangements for the return of any deposits.

We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience. Anyone with concerns can contact the restaurant directly or email [email protected].

We remain open until Sunday and would love to welcome you during our final days of service.

From everyone at Cadeby Pub & Restaurant and Don Valley Brewery, thank you for your friendship, loyalty and support.

This may be the end of our chapter, but hopefully not the end of Cadeby's story. ❤️
