We are incredibly proud to be hosting the Joint Meeting for The Great Conisbrough Events and the Conisbrough Business Forum (CBF) right here at The White Lady TOMORROW, Tuesday, 13th of October! 🗓️🍻

Help Save Our Mate Woody: Life-Saving Treatment in Germany

If you know Conisbrough, you know we look after our own. Right now, one of our own needs us more than ever.

This fundraiser is for Mark Wood—known to most of us simply as Woody. He’s a true local lad, but he is currently facing the absolute toughest fight of his life.

The Situation
Recently, Woody was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Back in July, we were all given a beacon of hope when doctors told him it was a condition that could be treated and dealt with. He braced himself and was ready to fight it head-on.

Tragically, after receiving his latest test results, that hope was completely pulled out from under him. Woody has now been told the devastating news that the cancer is terminal, inoperable, and that there is absolutely nothing more the UK medical system can do for him.

Our Lifeline: Germany
We refuse to give up on our mate, and he isn't giving up either. We have found a genuine lifeline: a pioneering, advanced cancer treatment clinic in Germany that is willing to take him on and offer him the fighting chance he so desperately deserves.

This is where we need your help. This specialized treatment comes at a massive cost of around €5,000 (roughly £4,200) for every single session.

How You Can Help
We are calling on the incredible spirit of our local community to rally behind Woody. We know how powerful it is when this town comes together for a cause, and there is no better cause right now than saving our friend's life.

We urgently need to raise these funds to get him on a plane and into that clinic. Whether you can spare £5, £50, or simply take a few seconds to share this page far and wide across your social media, every single contribution brings us one step closer to getting Woody the life-saving treatment he needs.
