Join us on the 7th November for a special event to raise money in aid of local charity in honour of taproom regular Wendy who sadly passed away earlier in the year from cancer. This particular charity is very close to Barry and his family's hearts as the hospice in Ipswich were a very big part in caring for Wendy towards the end of her life. On the day there will be a special b**r available called Wendy's Wish a 5.8% IPA brewed with Wendy's husband Barry and son Adam. Alongside the b**r we will be holding a raffle where there will be a range of prizes to be won with all proceeds from the b**r and raffle going to charity.

Our 3.9% Bitter is extra special to us, because it was originally brewed for our pub, The Cap in Harleston, but everyone loved it so much that it quickly became our best-selling cask b**r.

It’s our take on a classic English Bitter, combining tradition with our modern methods.

Built on a blend of Simpsons Malt Limited crystal malts (from just down the road!) for a classic base, then balanced with Ernest hops for a little bit of apricot, citrus and spice.

It’s become so loved that we re-branded it as the keystone of our Cask Classic range, but you’ll find it in cans most of the year as well!

Collaboration brew day with our friends at The Blue Moon 🍻

Blue Moon is turning 13 next month, so we’ve teamed up to brew something extra special! Unlucky For Some is a cinder toffee stout that’s smooth, sweet, and perfect for cold autumn nights. 🔥

It’s brewed with roasted and caramel malts, an entire bucket of cinder toffee, a little bit of cocoa powder and some bittering hops to create the perfect toffee stout.

The first pour of Unlucky For Some will be at the big tap takeover party we’re having on 5th November at Ampersand Brew Tap, so make sure to join us there!

As always, there’s loads going on here next month, so keep an eye on our socials for updates!

We’re open 6 days a week (Tues–Sun) with loads of keg and cask lines on rotation, as well as local wines, spirits, ciders, and soft drinks if b**r isn’t really for you.

We often have pop up food truck on Tuesdays (which we’ll announce soon!) and Burger Jam are in the kitchen Weds–Sun as always if you fancy something to eat! (Burgers Weds–Sat & roast dinners on Sundays!)

We love that our taproom feels like it’s become a bit of a home for the community, and that so many of you treat it like your local!

You can always pop in (Tues - Sun) for a b**r, and we’ve got loads going on for the rest of the month: Tony’s back for his funk & soul evening, Get Me To The Greek are here next Tuesday, and Burger Jam are serving up their roast dinners every Sunday!

We have made a few tweaks to our opening times 👆. Tappy Tuesdays are staying and we have some great b**rs and events lined up as the nights draw in.

🍂 WHAT’S ON: OCTOBER 🍂

As the cooler months start to roll in, we’ve got the taproom fully set for Autumn with loads of food pop-ups, live music, quiz action, and roast dinners!!!

Peaky Pizza are back in their usual slot, serving up wood-fired pizzas, as well as Get Me To The Greek joining us for some outrageously good gyros.

Homebrew club also returns, and we can’t wait to talk all things b**r, as well as welcoming Tony back for his funk & soul evening 🕺

Our taproom quiz is getting really popular, so make sure you get a table booked in (DM us)

And to top it all off, our resident legends Burger Jam are back serving up incredible roast dinners every Sunday!

🌾 WHAT’S ON: SEPTEMBER 🌾

Another month has flown past us, and as we head into the cosy part of the year, we’ve got plenty of events to keep you all fed; watered and entertained.

This time of year is all about celebrating all our excellent produce and ingredients, and the growers who dedicate their lives to them.

As well as our routine Tappy Tuesday food pop-ups, we are celebrating our fifth annual Green Hop Brew Day on the 12th, as well as our Oktoberfest celebrations on the weekend of the 25th & 26th.

The nights are drawing in, the leaves are starting to turn, and the Taproom is getting set for Autumn. 🍂
