Love Live Theatre? Open Space Theatre Company make a welcome return to The Corn Hall Diss on Thursday 12 November with The Lover by Harold Pinter.

Before leaving for work, a man wishes his wife well for the planned visit of her lover during the afternoon. It is a long-term arrangement which apparently leaves the husband free to see his mistress. But is it?

All is not as it seems in Pinter’s hilarious and quirky comedy of marital capers. Also on the bill during an evening with Pinter is Landscape, the playwright’s classic study of the failure of communication between a man and a woman.

Our final exhibition of the year opens to the public this Saturday (7 November).

A Curious Mind features the work of Jane Rands and is on display in The Corn Hall Diss Gallery from Saturday 7 November to Saturday 5 December.

Jane is a self taught artist with a strong connection to the natural world and is happiest when outdoors. She's always curious to find ways to capture moments of joy and at the same time bring awareness to what is being lost from the beautiful Planet we all share. This body of work also includes explorations of female strength, archetypes of resilience, wisdom and defiance both ancient and modern.

The exhibition is available to view from Mondays to Fridays, 10am - 4pm and on Saturdays from 10am - 1pm.

Admission: FREE.

Aidan Jones grew up playing classical piano but failed his conservatory audition at 18. After a detour involving M**A, he found his feet in stand-up comedy in 2011. Then, during lockdown, he returned to the piano and discovered a wonderfully unexpected way to bring the two worlds together.

The result? Chopin’s Nocturne in E-flat Major, accompanied by jokes from a bald Australian bloke with a beard. 🎹😂

Part comedy, part classical piano, and part unexpectedly moving personal story, this is a show that proves you don't need to understand Chopin to have a brilliant night out!
