The Huddersfield Cultural Heart, Transpennine Route Upgrade and Bridge replacements have provided us with some spectacular crane action.

Great to see the West Riding creating different food events in Dewsbury by collaborating with brilliant local food and drink providers.

What do you fancy? Wine and cheese, afternoon tea, West African food, Mediterranean feasts?..

A Dewsbury pub is leading a drive to revive the restaurant scene in the town by bringing the restaurants into the premises.

They offer a platform and new audiences for the brilliant local artists and, because they're free, they're open to everyone. These kinds of events are so important for grassroots music and independent venues so please, come and show your support 🙌

This New Zealand Session IPA. weighs in at 4.3%, generously hopped with Nectaron, Motueka and Rakau. BirdHOUSE is crisp, refreshing, fruity and also certified gluten free!

Local legends Mallinsons Brewing Company are celebrating a milestone at The Sportsman Beerhouse.

Two thousand brews...

Well done Tara, Elaine and Nick for such amazing consistency over these last 18 years or so.

We think that it's as important to showcase up-and-coming talent as it is established artists so we're really pleased to be able to put on these Kirklees Most Wanted events at The Terrace Dewsbury, supported by Arts Council England funding and Saving Grace Inc

The next one is this Friday, 20th March, starring Elefem, Vazon, and DuckLin Curls (that's R&B, metal, and hip hop in one event!) and it's completely free (you do need to book tickets though).

If you love music, please support your local artists and come along - it will be amazing!

Kirklees Most Wanted continues its run at The Terrace in Dewsbury.

We're delighted to announce not one, but three award wins for our pubs this week.

At the Huddersfield BID Best Bar None awards the scooped the Best Pub award whilst The Sportsman Beerhouse picked up Outstanding Venue award.

We have also found out that West Riding Beerhouse has been voted Heavy Woollen CAMRA Pub of the Year. (Presentation night to be announced shortly).

Well done and congratulations to Amber, John & Danny and all their teams for these fantastic achievements.
