Our Evidence Package is Submitted to Stormont! 📄🏛️

The heavy lifting on paper is done! Our complete, comprehensive submission has been officially delivered to the Health Committee ahead of our presentation on September 10th.

To every single person who took 1 minute out of their day to complete our patient survey, share an honest testimony, or support the Derry Canna Nanna group, thank you. You built this submission. When we step into Room 29, we aren't just bringing opinions, we are bringing indisputable facts and the lived reality of patients across Derry and Northern Ireland.

What’s Inside the Evidence Package?

Our Local Patient Survey Results are highlighting that 97.5% of local patients are forced into private clinics, paying an average of £340+ per month, with over 82% facing severe financial strain just to access their legal medication.

A 1,750-Word Socio-Economic & Healthcare Overview: Tying our survey findings directly into the Executive's Programme for Government, showing how expanding access creates regional jobs (cultivation, testing, logistics) and delivers massive long-term savings for the HSC and NHS.

Direct Patient Testimonies: Real stories from local residents outlining how legal prescriptions have helped them manage chronic pain, MS, and mental health conditions and the urgent need to address cross-border travel issues and financial barriers.
