The Green Man is a family country pub based in Willington, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our fabulous team!
The role will be around 30-35 hours a week and it goes without saying that you will have passion and enthusiasm for amazing customer service and the hospitality industry in general. Previous experience in a pub, bar, or restaurant management role is essential.
You must be honest, reliable, hard working, leading by example in a venue that takes pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience!
As the welcoming face of our village pub, known for serving quality food to a high standard, you’ll take pride in maintaining excellent personal presentation and hygiene at all times.
You will be;
- Supporting / deputising for the General Manager in day-to-day operations, and the achievement of financial and business KPI’s.
- Taking ownership of floor shifts, opening/closing procedures, and staff leadership.
- Training, coaching and motivating the bar and floor team.
- Driving sales during live sports events, food services, and themed nights.
- Working productively within a team and alone
- Helping us keep the heart of our community beating by making sure every guest enjoys a warm, friendly pub experience.
- Working evenings and weekends in line with our expectation!
• Key Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a pub, bar, or restaurant management role.
• Must hold a Personal Licence or be working towards obtaining one.
• Hands-on leadership style and calm demeanour under pressure.
