♥️ Here we are - the cheesy couple. Sorry, I mean the happy couple!
Myself and Mr Hops have been married for 20 years today!
A 10.30am wedding at
Mrs Hops running fashionably last due to traffic, closed roads and the driver unsure of where to go.
(A nod to Uncle Peter here, he got me from the salon to home in time for the wedding car, what a legend!)
Panicking as I trotted (very late) out of the car to dozens of friends and family eagerly awaiting my arrival.
Then to be ushered in to the venue super fast because. Well. I was late!
Not forgetting the horrific nerves because the zip at the back of my dress would not do up for love, nor money!
But there was my beautiful man, waiting patiently.
And all of our most important and incredibly special people, all there to share our day with us.
The ceremony. Gorgeous.
Only feeling anxious because my back and upper bum were probably on show because of the zip not playing along that morning.
Thankfully, our Ken was there with beautiful Tina. How're you feeling, Vic? That was a beautiful ceremony, says Ken.
I reply- ***k in h** Ken, my zip has ***k**g broken! ***k, I can't believe it!!!
Ken, my saviour says- turn around mate, I'll sort it out.
Within seconds, he'd grabbed it, oiked it and zipped me in. Phew! Legend!
Photos with all our special people outside Cheylesmore Manor. Many of those are no longer with us. We are so very lucky to have had each and every one of them with us that day.
Off to our first post wedding venue.
We wanted to walk through town. The city we were both born and raised in. We wanted to see it on foot as Mr And Mrs as soon as possible.
Whitefriars, where it all began, here we come!
The pub that Mr Hops first noticed me and swore to his mate that he'd "marry that girl one day!".
Little did I know that when I was sat, having a b**r with Wayne, my best mate from school, Gregg was planning our future together....
