🍻ARKELL’S BREWERY TOURS🍻

Some pubs are more than just places to enjoy a pint; they are at the heart of their communities, bringing people together through generations.

The Eliot Arms is part of that great Cotswold pub tradition, sharing a connection with Arkell’s Brewery, a name synonymous with local brewing heritage and traditional hospitality.

Founded by John Arkell in 1843, Arkell’s Brewery has been brewing in Wiltshire for generations, building a reputation for quality ales, family values and a commitment to the traditional British pub. As one of the region’s longstanding family breweries, Arkell’s has played an important role in keeping local pubs at the centre of village life.

Surrounded by the character and charm of the Cotswolds, The Eliot offers the sort of welcoming atmosphere that has made the village pub such an important part of British life. It is somewhere to meet friends, catch up with neighbours, welcome visitors and enjoy good food, good b**r and good company.

The connection between Arkell’s and pubs such as the Eliot Arms reflects a shared appreciation for the things that matter: quality, consistency, a warm welcome and a genuine sense of community. A well-kept pint is about more than what is in the glass; it is part of an experience shaped by the people, the place and the traditions behind it.

We are proud of the heritage that connects Arkell’s Brewery with The Eliot Arms and of the role that traditional pubs continue to play in village life.

To celebrate Arkell’s 180th anniversary in 2023, they threw open the doors of our historical brewery and invited the public in for official tours every week! Following that success, they have continued sharing the charm of the traditional tower brewery throughout the year.

👨‍🍳❤️ Happy Chef Appreciation Day from PS91 Hospitality!

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible chefs who bring passion, creativity and dedication to our kitchens across all four of our venues: The Rose & Crown in Ashbury, The Bull Hotel in Fairford, The Eliot Arms in South Cerney, and The Coach & Horses in Chiselhampton.

For us, chef appreciation is about more than great food. It’s about the people, the passion and the stories behind every plate; and at PS91 Hospitality, that connection runs especially deep.

Our director, Adrian, whose tenure brings his own experience, knowledge and passion for the kitchen into everything we do. Having spent his career understanding the hard work, teamwork and dedication that go into every service, he knows first-hand just how much our kitchen teams give every day.

And that passion has a special family connection, too. ❤️ Adrian’s daughter, Katie, is an integral part of the kitchen team at The Eliot Arms in South Cerney. It’s a lovely reminder that a love of food, the buzz of a busy kitchen and the pride in creating something special can be shared across generations.

Today, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every chef and kitchen team member across our venues, especially our head chef, Pedro. From the preparation before service to the final plate leaving the pass, your skill, resilience and hard work make a real difference to our guests and to our business.

To Adrian, Katie, Pedro and all our wonderful kitchen teams - thank you for being part of the PS91 Hospitality family. We’re proud of the people behind our food and grateful for everything you do👏

Here’s to the chefs who make it happen, the families who share the passion, and the teams who make hospitality special.
Happy Chef Appreciation Day! ❤️
