Second brewery highlight: Blackjack Brew Co.

Another brewery bringing some proper sessionable beers to this weekend’s real ale & cider festival. Three beers, three reasons to grab a glass and have a little dabble…

🍺 Dinner Ale II — Light Bitter
A classic, easy-drinking bitter with a lovely balance of malt and gentle hop bitterness. Expect light biscuit and caramel notes, a smooth body and a clean, refreshing finish. A proper “just one more” pint.

🌸 Pink Light — Pale Ale
Bright, refreshing and hop-forward, with a lovely balance of soft malt and fruity hop character. Think citrus, a little tropical fruit and a crisp finish. Light in colour, big on drinkability.

🌿 Cascade Light — Pale Ale
A pale ale showcasing the classic Cascade hop, bringing those lovely citrus and floral notes. Expect grapefruit, a touch of pine and a refreshing bitterness, all wrapped up in a clean, easy-drinking pint.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you! Here’s how it works 👇🏼

1. ARRIVE & GET SETTLED
Come on down, soak up the atmosphere and get ready for a weekend of proper pub fun.

2. RENT YOUR GLASS 🍺
Pick up one of our festival glasses — or bring your own! If you’re bringing your own, it must have a UKCA half-pint line and pint certification on the glass.

3. GRAB YOUR TOKENS 🎟️
Tokens make ordering quick and easy, especially at our lead bars.

• 1 token = ½ pint
• 2 tokens = 1 pint
(real ale & fresh cider only)

And this year, your tokens can also go towards food and our brand-new beer festival merchandise! 👕🍕

4. ENJOY YOUR BEERS! 🍻
Try something new, find an old favourite and enjoy the weekend.

5. RETURN YOUR GLASS ♻️
At the end of the day, return your glass for a refund or a token for the next day — or simply take it home and bring it back tomorrow for more!

6. LEFTOVER TOKENS? 💰
No problem! Unspent tokens can be refunded throughout the festival, along with your glass return.

That’s it! Easy peasy. Now all that’s left is to decide which beer you’re trying first… 👀🍺

Look at these beauties! 👀 We’re very excited to have Big Trip Brewing joining us at this weekend’s real ale & cider festival.

Four beers, four very different ways to get your hop fix…

🍊 Free Hugs — Citrus Pale Ale IPA
Bright, zesty and seriously refreshing. Think juicy citrus, a little tropical fruit and a lovely hop-forward finish. A proper sunshine-in-a-pint sort of beer.

🌊 Misspent Summer — West Coast Style Session IPA
Crisp, clean and packed with classic West Coast hop character. Expect citrus, pine and a touch of tropical fruit, with a refreshing bitterness that keeps you coming back for another sip.

🪲 Love Bug — Hazy IPA
Soft, juicy and full of fruity flavour. Expect a hazy, smooth mouthfeel with ripe tropical fruit, citrus and stone fruit notes. The sort of beer that makes you say, “Ooh, that’s dangerous…” 😏

🚀 Space Face — Session IPA
Light, lively and easy-drinking, but certainly not short on flavour. A juicy hop character, refreshing citrus and a clean finish make this one a great choice for a long afternoon at the festival.

Hop on the train next weekend and join us for our incredible Real Ale & Cider Festival, running 18–20 September!

We’ve got live music for everyone, from a local folk band to live indie music and much more. 🎶

Feeling hungry? Grab some food from our friendly chefs (and take the chance to meet the team!) or tuck into a wood-fired pizza and sides from The Paper Mill. 🍕

Come hungry, come thirsty… we’ll sort the rest.
