Meet Cadet Briggs! A new addition to The White Horse family.
Briggs was deployed here nearly three weeks ago now…the first photo is of him being collected!
He is still very young and has just had his tenth week birthday.
Briggs has yet to receive his final vaccination so is currently largely confined to his upstairs quarters where he is ‘helping’ with the paperwork but he will be appearing more after he has had his final injection which will be on the 11th November (rather aptly, for the future Major Briggs, this is armistice day).
He is a very confident little fellow, and also very stubborn. He is bright, good natured with a good sense of humour and a happy temperament…he is very very strong for his age and he’s also , thankfully, already pretty devoted to his commanding officer.
We are immensely looking forward to formally introducing him to everybody in the near future and hoping that he will be a pleasant addition to the village.
We will never see another dog like C**t, he was absolutely one in a billion and can never be replaced, but Briggs is his own dog with lots of lovely attributes and if he can bring half as much joy to people as our lovely C**t did then he’ll be doing an outstanding job.
We’ve every faith in him.
Welcome to the family Briggs, you lucky little fella. We are looking forward to many years of great adventures with you.
PS- Just to add, regarding the pics of him with the cuddly horse toy...that was C**ts favourite toy. It's the only thing that Briggs refuses to chew up and he sleeps next to it all the time. Quite a lovely thing.
