🏛️ The Arkwright Miners’ Welfare Scheme is seeking funding to lower the ceiling and improve insulation in its main function room to reduce heating costs and make the space affordable to run as a community warm hub. 🪵🔥

​🍲 The project also includes installing a new kitchen to provide affordable meals. 🍳🍴

​👥 These improvements will help tackle social isolation and food insecurity among local residents, particularly older people, while ensuring the long-term sustainability of a vital community service. 🤝❤️
