👑 SUNDAYS ARE FOR ROASTS… NOT WASHING UP! 🍽️🍻

It’s Sunday, and if you’re still wondering what to do for dinner, we’ve got a very tasty suggestion! 😍

Forget peeling potatoes, arguing over who’s doing the Yorkshire puddings and spending half your Sunday in the kitchen.

Let us do the hard work while you enjoy the good stuff!

🥔 Golden, crispy roast potatoes
🤎 Big, fluffy Yorkshire puddings
🥕 All your favourite trimmings
🍽️ Proper gravy, and plenty of it!

All freshly prepared by The Artisan Pie Company, right here at The Rose & Crown, Barlborough.

And with the fantastic reviews and returning customers we’ve been getting, we reckon our Sunday lunches are doing a pretty good job of speaking for themselves! 👀

Not fancying a roast? Our full menu is available too!

👑 SUNDAY LUNCH PLANS? WE’VE GOT A BETTER IDEA THAN COOKING! 👑

It’s Saturday night, which means there’s one very important question to ask…

Who’s cooking tomorrow’s Sunday roast? 👀

If the answer is you, we’d strongly suggest reconsidering! 😂

Here at The Rose & Crown, our friends at The Artisan Pie Company are getting ready to serve up another cracking Sunday lunch!

🥩 Tender, slow-roasted meats
🥔 Golden, crispy roast potatoes
🥄 Creamy, buttery mash
🤎 Big, fluffy Yorkshire puddings
🥕 All the traditional trimmings
🍯 Proper rich gravy, served in jugs — because nobody should have to ration gravy!

No tiny portions. No washing up. And absolutely no fighting over the last roast potato!

And remember, we’re more than just a Sunday roast! Our full menu is available too, so there’s something for everyone.

🍽️ SUNDAY LUNCH SERVED 12PM–5PM

Walk-ins are always welcome, but with our Sunday lunches proving rather popular, booking is strongly recommended!

🍹 BUZZBALL PUNCH – STRAIGHT FROM UNI TO THE ROSE & CROWN! 🍹

Apparently, sending your son off to university isn’t just about watching him get an education… it’s about getting an education yourself in what the students are drinking! 😂

Inspired by Alfie’s university antics, we’ve decided to bring a little student creativity to the bar!

Introducing BUZZBALL PUNCH!

The concept is simple:

🍓 Pick your favourite flavour BuzzBall.

🍋 Top it up with a bottle of Smirnoff Ice.

🍹 Give it a stir and enjoy!

No complicated cocktail recipes, no fancy ingredients… just a cracking combination courtesy of the younger generation!

Who says you can’t learn something from your kids?!

And unlike the students, we’ve even got a proper glass to serve it in! 😂

📍 The Rose & Crown, Barlborough

BUZZBALL PUNCH – because apparently university teaches you more than what’s on the syllabus!

🥃 SMALL GLASSES. BIG PERSONALITIES. QUESTIONABLE DECISIONS. 🥃

We’ve been playing around behind the bar at The Rose & Crown… and the results are dangerously delicious!

Introducing our new line-up of layered shots, bringing a little dessert-inspired indulgence to your drinking plans!

🍺 Mini B**r – Licor 43 topped with Baileys. Looks like a tiny pint, tastes like heaven.

🍒 Black Forest Gateau – Chambord topped with Mozart Chocolate Liqueur. All the flavour of the classic dessert, minus the fork!

🍊 Terry’s Baby Guinness – Tia Maria topped with Baileys Chocolate Orange. It’s not Terry’s… it’s yours!

🥃 Baby Guinness – The original! Tia Maria topped with Baileys. Looks like a miniature pint of Guinness, tastes absolutely nothing like one!

💗 Turkish Delight – Mozart Chocolate Liqueur topped with Dead Man’s Fingers Raspberry Rum Cream. Chocolate, raspberry and a dangerously good combination!

All beautifully layered, all ridiculously tempting and all available on our shot deals!

Because let’s face it, nobody ever popped into the Rose & Crown for just the one and actually stuck to the plan. 😂

Life’s too short for boring shots. 🥃

🍕 SATURDAY HAS NEVER LOOKED SO CHEESY! 🍕👑

It’s PIZZA SATURDAY at The Rose & Crown, and frankly, we can’t think of a better excuse to leave the cooking to someone else! 😂

Our friends at The Artisan Pie Company are ready to tempt you with some cracking pizzas… but don’t go thinking that’s all we’ve got on offer!

WE’RE MORE THAN JUST A THEME DAY! 👑

Fancy a juicy burger? A proper steak? Homemade lasagne? Or maybe a starter, main AND dessert because it’s Saturday and calories don’t count at weekends… do they? 👀

Our full menu is available, so whether you’re a pizza lover or fancy something completely different, there’s plenty to get your teeth into!

🍕 Great food
🍻 A few drinks
❤️ Good company
👑 Your favourite village pub

And as we always say… that innocent little half-hour pint with your mates has a funny habit of turning into six hours of stories you’ll still be laughing about next week! 😂

So come for a pizza, stay for a pint… and don’t blame us if you’re still here several hours later!

🎤 FRIDAY NIGHT IS CALLING… AND IT WANTS THE MIC! 🍻🎶

It’s KARAOKE DISCO NIGHT at The Rose & Crown, and DJ Gazmeister is back to kick the weekend off properly!

🎤 Sing like a superstar (even if it’s only in your own head).

💃 Dance like nobody’s watching (they absolutely are).

🍻 Have a few drinks and suddenly convince yourself you’re Freddie Mercury!

🎧 DJ GAZMEISTER FROM 8PM TILL LATE!

Whether you’re a karaoke regular, a dancefloor diva or just there for the laughs, we’ve got your Friday night covered!

And remember…

“Just popping in for one?” Famous last words. Especially when there’s a microphone, a DJ and mates who are terrible influences! 🎤🍻😂

Because at The Rose & Crown, a quick pint has a funny habit of turning into a night you’ll be talking about for weeks!

Because remember, we’re more than just a theme day! 👑

⚠️ A LITTLE HEADS-UP!

We only buy FRESH FISH, so quantities are limited. We’d much rather you booked ahead than turned up dreaming of fish and chips only to find someone else has beaten you to the last portion!

⚡ A LITTLE HICCUP IN THE KITCHEN TODAY! 🥧

Unfortunately, due to some electrical issues, our kitchen will be closed until tea time today.

But don’t panic, PIE DAY IS STILL ON! 🥧

The Artisan Pie Company will be back in full swing, just a little later than usual!

We’re working to get everything back up and running as quickly as possible and look forward to welcoming you for some delicious pies later today.

Apologies for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and understanding.

🍻 The bar is open as normal, so why not pop in for a pint or two while you build up an appetite for those pies!

After weeks of building up, our £500 JACKPOT has finally been won!

Three very happy faces and handfuls of cash.

Absolutely delighted for you all, enjoy your winnings, and don’t go spending it all at once… unless it’s behind the bar, of course! 😉 🍻

A massive thank you to everyone who joins us for our Wednesday Quiz Nights and makes them such a brilliant laugh.

Same time next Wednesday, 8pm — let’s start building that jackpot again!
