Yesterday marked the end of all the rituals and final rites for my beloved Father (Achan). We cremated him on the 21st of October, and yesterday we completed all the remaining ceremonies.
It has been an incredibly difficult time for me and my family, but the love, kindness and support we have received from so many people have meant more to us than words can explain.
I want to sincerely thank everyone who called, messaged, visited and kept us in their thoughts during this difficult time. Every single message and kind word meant a lot to us.
A special thank you to all our Alleppey Kitchen customers for your patience, understanding and continued support while I have been away.
And more importantly, a massive thank you to my wonderful team, led by my cousin Hari, who have worked tirelessly to keep everything running during one of the most difficult times of my life. I know it hasn’t been easy, and I genuinely appreciate everything you have done.
I have always said that Alleppey Kitchen is more than just a business to me. And moments like this remind me why. I feel incredibly lucky that so many of you are not just our customers, but have become genuine friends who care about us and our family.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so, so much. My family, my team and I are truly lucky to have you all in our lives.
I am sharing this picture of Achan with my grandparents because I find some comfort in believing that he is now reunited with his Amma and Achan. ❤️
Rest in peace, Achan. We will miss you forever and ever. I hope you are all together again. ❤️
