Welcome to The Old Swan, a 15th century traditional thatched country inn. It provides good home cooked fare with a menu to suit all tastes.

The Old Swan sets out to be a traditional village pub, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, for the locals and our friends from the surrounding area. Whether you fancy sitting in the Restaurant area - or you prefer to eat in the bar – you will be looked after just the same. And, if you’re looking for something a little different, you can always check the Specials Board. First and foremost, the Old Swan is a pub but it has so much more to offer. There is an excellent range of local beers and lagers coupled with an imaginative Wine List. So, whether you are one of the locals sharing a bit of banter over a pint, or enjoying a Sunday lunch with family and friends, we look forward to making you feel really welcome (including well behaved children and dogs).

Our lunch menu -
- The Steak one - sliced steak, garlic mayo, melted cheddar and caramelised onions on ciabatta.

- The Chicken one - chicken, red pesto, rocket, mozzarella and balsamic onions on ciabatta.

- The Open Brie Sarnie - melted brie, cranberry, hot honey and rosemary on sourdough.

- The Fish one - haddock goujons, tartare sauce, pea puree and iceberg lettuce on ciabatta.

- The BLT - bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on ciabatta.

Ever wondered what’s actually involved in rethatching a pub like ours?

We hadn’t either… until we watched it happening above our heads!

Nearly three tonnes of straw, every bit worked by hand, using a craft that has been part of British life for thousands of years.

It gave us a whole new appreciation for the beautiful roof over The Swan — and the incredibly skilled team who restored it.
