ADC Theatre The ADC Theatre and Corpus Playroom are Cambridge's most vibrant amateur theatre venues.

The ADC Theatre is the liveliest theatre in Cambridge, presenting a vibrant programme of drama, music and comedy. We are a department of the University of Cambridge, and are the oldest University playhouse in the country. The ADC is the centre of University drama in Cambridge, run almost entirely by students with no Faculty involvement. We aim to provide opportunities to experience and learn about

all aspects of theatre, while presenting professional standard productions. The ADC Theatre has helped to launch the careers of many theatre luminaries, including Sir Ian McKellen, Rachel Weisz and Emma Thompson.

Come From Away opens TOMORROW at the ADC Theatre!

Some performances have fewer than 10 tickets left, so be sure to book soon to avoid missing out.

Come From Away is the true story of what happened when 38 planes were redirected to the remote island of Newfoundland, Canada when the US airspace closed for the first time in history in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.

And be sure to read the latest post on the ADC blog, where we speak to cast member Holly Dawson, whose father Julian was a real life 'Come From Away' stranded in Newfoundland.

TONIGHT AT THE ADC - Cambridge Footlight Matt Edge presents: Chasing Pigeons

Footlight Matt Edge has been here a long time. A long long time. He’s seen it all: the highs, the lows, the nightclub toilets at closing time. He’s seen behind the curtain of world famous institutions, sat on both sides of a supervision, and even been inside of a library once or twice. But the question that remains from eight years at Cambridge: has he learnt anything?

Join Matt for his debut stand-up hour as he chases the pigeons of ambition through the park of over-extended metaphor. Come and revel in a city where the only thing that’s constant is that nothing ever changes!

Next week, the Footlights' Harry Porter Prize Winner comes to the Playroom!

Boys in books are better—right? Certified romance-addict Cath certainly thinks so. In fact, she starts to believe that romance simply doesn’t exist in the real world when she breaks up with her long-term boyfriend, Kevin. With a surprise visit from her Fairy-Avon-Lady, and a rash wish, Cath is about to find out that book boyfriends are much easier to manage on the page. With not one but three romance archetypes vying for her hand, Cath must face the reality of her fantasy men.

The Harry Porter Prize Winner 2025/6, Sir Stephen Fry describes Prints Charming as: “A good old-fashioned rom com but in the modern dress of dating apps and very 21st century characters and (bad) manners”.
