The event is on Shobnall Athletics track on Shobnall Fields. Starts 12.00 Midday.

We're Hiring: Brewery Assistant (Part time- Fridays and occaisional weekends/extra shifts available)

Looking to get your foot in the brewing industry?

Burton Bridge Brewery is looking for a Brewery Assistant to join our team on a part time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in beer and brewing who wants to gain hands-on experience in a traditional independent brewery.

The role will initially involve cask washing on Fridays, along with helping with deliveries and general brewery duties. As you gain experience, you'll have the opportunity to learn tank operations, cask racking, CIP and, for the right person, brewing.

We're looking for someone who is:
• Passionate about beer and interested in working in a brewery
• Diligent with cleaning, hygiene and record keeping
• Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn
• Friendly and enjoys working as part of a team
• Physically fit, as the role involves moving full casks of beer
• Available every Friday and able to work weekends when required for tank operations
• A full, clean UK driving licence

We also welcome applicants with transferable skills from food and drink production or manufacturing. Experience with chemical handling, food hygiene, cleaning processes or production line work would be an advantage.

Nice to have:
• Experience of homebrewing, or an interest in brewing your own beer
• A forklift licence
• A desire to learn all aspects of brewery production

For the right person, this role has the potential to develop into a full-time position as your skills and experience grow. Full training is given.
