Situated a short walk from Burton-Upon-Trent's main rail link, The Elms inn is a stand out pub in the local community. Its famous varied rang of fine cask ales combined with the outstanding food menu both locally sourced ensures they maintain true to Burton’s nickname of being ‘The Brewers’.

2 open coal fires provide a warm cosy atmosphere in the winter while the beer garden provides a perfect s

un trap in the summer. Not content on just being a traditional English Pub, the Elms shows all Livesport including 3pm Kick Offs with a great atmosphere guaranteed for every sporting event.

🍺 Day 4 of the Ale Trail — The Final Push!

The last day is here and Burton, you’ve absolutely smashed it so far.

No cheese & Marmite straws left (you animals), but don’t panic — Stitches Kitchen is open 12–3 and 6–9 with burgers, chips, and loads more to keep you fuelled for the finish line.

Loz and Jas are behind the bar, fully caffeinated, slightly feral, and ready for you. 🍻🔥

Come end the trail the right way — with good food, good beer, and good chaos.

Well out of 85 packs of cheese and marmite straws there is two left…who’s having them?? Better be quick….

Burgers! - If you haven’t tried one yet, you’re missing out on pure pub magic — juicy, cheesy, and best enjoyed with a pint of Bass in hand.

Trail tip: follow the smell of sizzling beef and the sound of laughter — that’s where the good stuff’s happening.

Busy preparing for the Burton Ale Trail, starting tomorrow, Loz from The Elms – Stapenhill Road – tells us that “with more pubs on this side of the river, it’s starting to feel like its own little micro-trail. And people aren’t just passing through, they are starting this side!”

“There’s always such a great mix of locals, ale nerds and wanderers over the four days.

“Craig and I have been on the Ale Trail since day one and can’t wait to see what this year holds. We’re so exited to welcome people into the Elms!

“Over 40 barrels of Bass are currently waiting in the cellar, and to quote Ian… one of the best pints of Bass in Burton!”

Stitch's Kitchen is open at the Elms from Thursday-Sunday (12-3pm and 6-9pm), serving everything from burgers to cobs.

And there’s music from Ashton Spiby-Wood, Saturday at 8pm.
