Seeing all the kids in their Halloween fancy dress, out in the garden, running around, playing together and having the best time is just lovely to see! 👻🧙‍♀️🧛

No iPads, no phones, no screens in sight… just good old-fashioned play, fresh air, laughter, Halloween costumes and making memories! 🥰

Sometimes the simplest things really are the best!

We've had the BEST afternoon hosting our Kids Halloween Party at The Gate! 🧡

So many happy little faces, lots of laughs, games, dancing and plenty of Halloween fun! And it wasn't just the kids getting involved… the parents joined in too! 😂👏

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a brilliant afternoon. It's lovely seeing the pub full of families having fun and making memories together. ❤️

And of course, a huge thank you to our amazing team for helping make it all happen. You were stars! ⭐

🎂❤️ DOUBLE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS! ❤️🎂

Happy Birthday to our youngest daughter Mia, who turns 26 today, and our oldest granddaughter Ruby, who is 14 today! 🥳❤️

We certainly like to share birthdays in our family! 😂❤️

Where on earth does the time go? It only seems like yesterday our little surprise, Mia, came along 26 years ago and completed our family. ❤️ And now look at you!

And our Ruby, our very first grandchild, is 14 already! 🥰 You made us grandparents for the very first time, a very special moment we'll never forget.

Two very special girls, both with their own special place in our hearts, sharing the same birthday.

We hope you both have the most amazing day, full of love, laughter and everything you wish for.

🔥 THE LAST 5 DAYS AT THE GATE HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY MAD! 🍻❤️

Where do we even start?! 😍

🎸 Saturday – BONE IDLE were absolutely AMAZING! And the best bit? Five days later, our locals are STILL talking about it! Now that's what you call a great night! 🤘🎶

❤️ Yesterday, we had a fantastic turnout for Ken Bunting’s wake, coming together to remember and celebrate a life. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a special gathering for the family.

🎸 Then last night, our ukulele group had one of its biggest turnouts yet! Add to that all our lovely locals watching the footy, playing pool and enjoying a few drinks, and you can see why Wednesdays are becoming THE night at The Gate! ⚽🎱🍻

And if you thought we were slowing down… THINK AGAIN! 😂🔥

I honestly couldn't do any of this without you all! It's been a crazy few days, and you've all worked your socks off, pulled together and kept everything running. From the busy nights to the behind-the-scenes hard work, you really are an amazing bunch, and I appreciate every single one of you more than you know! 🥰👏

And of course, to all our wonderful locals and everyone who keeps coming through our doors – THANK YOU! ❤️

The atmosphere, the laughs, the support and the community spirit… THIS is what The Gate is all about! 🍻🥰

❤️ Thinking of the Bunting family at this very sad time ❤️

Although we never had the pleasure of meeting Ken personally, it’s been genuinely lovely to hear the stories about him and the important part he played in village life here in Branston. From the village shows to the church, and being such a familiar figure at Burton Rugby Club, it’s clear Ken was woven into the heart of the community and meant so much to so many people.

It’s a lovely reminder that a person’s life leaves its mark in so many ways, through the memories, friendships and connections they make along the way.

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Bunting family for choosing to spend such a special time here at The Gate Inn, sharing memories of Ken and celebrating his life. It truly means a lot to us to have been a small part of such a meaningful occasion.

To all of Ken’s family and friends, we send our warmest thoughts and deepest condolences. We hope the many happy memories you hold close bring you comfort in the days ahead.

Rest peacefully, Ken. ❤️🕊️ You were clearly a much-loved man, and your place in Branston’s community will live on through all those who remember you.
