The 4249 Festival, Wathen Bartlett at Burley
On the 25th March 1945, Mrs Wathen-Bartlett very kindly signed the lease of the building, on Pound Lane, near to The Cross in the centre of the village, to the working men of Burley for 999 years.
Not able to celebrate the 75th anniversary in 2020 (COVID), Bank Holiday Sunday, the 30th August 2026, marks exactly 4,249 weeks since this lovely gesture and The Wathen-Bartlett invite you to join the celebrations when it plays host to The 4,249 Festival.
Thanks to the extreme generosity of our headline sponsor:
Fiona and Kev The Sorcerer's Apprentice Burley
and our gold sponsors:
Bransgore Vets
Forest Link Electrical
The music line up is as follows:
The One Man Band Collective at 13:00 with Nigel performing songs from the 50's right through to the present day.
Jonny Marsh takes over at 15:15, a high-energy acoustic artist with covers of rock classics, indie anthems and modern favourites.
On at 17:30 is Just-Harvey, a young lad who plays in and around The New Forest and he will be performing hits from the 60's to date with influences from icons like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Page, Queen, The Beatles and many more.
The festival will be closed with musical mayhem from Captain Crackers and The Curiosities, as they take us on tales of adventure, derring-do and satire!
Entry is free and there will be some food available to purchase, as well as the normal bar service and hopefully, an outside bar too!
Please note that our car park will be closed in order to host the festival, however we will make room for anyone with a blue badge.
We hope you can make it and look forward to having a really great day!
