Burley features everything you would expect from a traditional New Forest village. Witchcraft in Burley started fairly recently as during the late 1950’s a ‘white’ witch called Sybil Leek lived in Burley. She used to walk round the village with her pet jackdaw on her shoulder in a long black cloak before she moved to America. Tons of witchcraft items can be bought in some of the Burley giftshops from cauldronsto broomsticks! Oozing old world charm, with ponies and cattle roaming around the village and pretty thatched cottages, Burley has remained untouched by time. Visitors are sure to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity, whether they are relaxing with a cuppa or a refreshing pint or browsing in the shops - the famous Coven of Witches will leave you spellbound! Outside the village, explore the nearby heathland for good walking, cycling and riding - or take a tractor safari ride in Burley Park to see the red deer in action.
