The Red Shoot is a traditional country pub in the heart of the New Forest National Park, surrounded by ancient woodland and scenic walking trails. Originally a farmhouse and converted into an inn in the 1960s, it retains rustic charm and hints of its old microbrewery. Inside, enjoy cosy firesides and hearty roasts, while outside the beer garden with a heated canopy offers year-round al fresco dining and stunning views over Ibsley Common. With a campsite next door and frequent visits from New Forest ponies, The Red Shoot is perfect for forest walks, family outings, or a relaxing pint after exploring the woods.

🌳🐾 FREE MORNING PARKING FOR DOG WALKERS!🐾🌳

It’s been a challenging time for us recently. Since the new parking charges came into place in the New Forest, we’ve really felt the impact and sadly lost many of our regular dog walkers.

Then equine flu hit and we lost our horse riders… followed by the fire on the A31….. They do say things come in threes!

So, we’d love to welcome our wonderful dog-walking community back. ❤️

🐶 We’re offering FREE PARKING during the mornings for dog walkers!

Come and enjoy a beautiful morning walk in the New Forest with your four-legged friend, then head back to us, warm up and enjoy a delicious pub lunch. 🍽️🔥
