Did you know The Shakespeare is Bristol's longest-serving ale house?
Our beautiful Georgian building dates back to 1722, and in 1777 it became a bustling dockside inn, serving sailors and warehouse workers from Bristol's busy harbour.
And just look at the list of landlords who've called The Shakespeare their pub over the years! So many different faces, all playing their part in its incredible history.
Nearly 250 years later, we're still here, still pouring pints and getting ready for another exciting chapter! 🍻
