Small Bar Bristol

Small Bar Bristol Pouring great beer since 2013. What’s Small Bar? Firstly we're a craft beer bar. What’s the name all about? The name also tells a different story however.

Our passion is to provide Bristol with the very best beers that the UK has to offer, and provide a bar team who are passionate, approachable and engaging. Further to this we recognise that not everyone is into beer and that some folk’s passions are different to ours. We aim to, we hope, offer a selection of all drinks and foods which will incite interest and excitement into whoever walks through o

ur door! Small Bar is named to reflect the makers of the products we aim to represent. Small companies, focused on making their product the best it possibly can be. It acts as a reminder to the people running the business of the motivations and aims set out when the bar was founded. Small Bar is a platform to showcase the best of the independents. We believe that the cornerstone of providing a great environment for you to enjoy, is to focus on quality of product and quality of service first, and the size of our profit margin second. The bar is a free of tie premises who’s driving motivation is to stay small, to stay independent, and to show that to be great, you don’t have to be big!

Have a happy weekend everybody 🌞

Why not do as our intrepid & hardworking staff members Liz and Sander have done and enjoy a lovely foaming pint of nut brown ale here at the Small Bar of King Street. In this instance Liz is enjoying a little Sicilian Lemon Radler and Sander is partaking of a big mug of x Strong Dark Mild. Both exceptional drops - and reasonably priced too! Radler at just shy of a sixer a pint and mild at a flat five (as is any beer on cask at ours - that's the Small Bar guarantee!) 🍻

Anyway, thank you for reading and engaging with our advert ⭐ Best wishes for a superb weekend wherever you are 🍝

Oh! How nice! We will have these 4 x beauties pouring side by side on Wednesday 23rd (next Wednesday, fact fans!) as well as a visit from VIP Benjamin Vanhonsebrouck who will be in the bar to have a chat and answer your burning questions 🍻

For fans of fruited beers, Belgian beers, burning questions, chats, Wednesdays and beers. Not to be missed as I believe this may be the first time Tropical will be available on draught in the South West 🎊

Pop it in your diaries then and we will see you soon! 💗

Today we help launch Running Porter on cask - every pour entitles the bearer to a free bit of Wensleydale courtesy of 🧀

Neal's Yard are on a mission to revitalise interest in British territorial cheese styles - your Cheshires, your Caerphillys, your Wensleydales...that sort of thing. Eat Them Or Lose Them! They've teamed up with The Kernel, by any measure one of the UKs most celebrated brewers, who have brewed a lovely nut brown porter especially to complement the texture and flavour profiles of these cheeses. What a nice thing that is! 🍻

Cask may be around for a few days but let me assure you - the cheese will not. So get down and get yours while the going is good 💕

Our American beer showcase for the 4th July is now go. An hour and a half ahead of schedule as well! It's always a bit of a miracle when we hook up a TTO and nothing goes wrong, especially with different couplers and kegs that have come thousands of miles and been through customs and at least one beer that is almost too thick for our pathetic British dispense system and beer lines to handle 🍻 But we got it done. For you.

Available....NOW:
[XL Slushy] MIKE - 5.3% smoothie sour with milk sugar, mango, orange, lemon and pineapple
Amorphia - 6.0% sour IPA with milk sugar, strawberry, vanilla and hopped with Citra
Maine Event - 6.5% NEIPA hopped with Simcoe and Citra
Contagious Smile - 6.5% IPA hopped with Citra Cryo, Nelson Sauvin and Galaxy
Juice Krusher - 7.0% NEIPA hopped with Citra, Krush and Motueka
Eugene's Axe - NEDIPA hopped with Citra and Galaxy
Da S'mores - 11.5% imperial stout with chocolate, vanilla and Graham Cracker

Got a couple of nice backup kegs for you also in case you get through any of this first lot - otherwise you can expect to see a few more big hitter US beers on the taps in the following couple of weeks :) I won't lie to you - this stuff ain't cheap. And in the interests of transparency the prices I am obscuring here with my big face are £6.95 for a third pint. "How much?? Did you fly them in 🤣🤣🤣". I do my own heckles as it saves time 👍

This incredible lineup has been made possible with the help of our friends who brought us the beer and and who very kindly lent us a couplacouplas. Thank you! 🙏

Right then, that's me. You know where to find us for the good stuff. And if you don't it's 31 King Street Bristol BS14DZ cheers 🍻

Ps I am aware that at this moment the are not working! I will fix it in post

This Thursday we are joining our friends and colleagues in celebrating 10 years of beers from with a big massive Tap Takeover of all ten collab birthday brews! Come on down, impress your friends. The beers run the gamut of styles and are each made lovingly in collaboration with brewing luminaries from around country and, indeed, the VERY GLOBE ITSELF 🌍 🚀

As always the beers will all be pouring from 5pm or maybe earlier if you ask nicely or are in a rush (and ask nicely). Cheers to you then and best wishes to your family 🍻
