We're delighted to welcome Christopher Haul to H&W on Friday 19th June from 8pm!

A professional singer-songwriter and DJ from South Wales, Christopher brings an incredible setlist packed with classics from the 60s right through to today's chart toppers, guaranteeing something for every musical taste.

You may also recognise him from BBC One's Survivor UK, where he captured the nation's attention and finished as runner up in a series watched by over 7 million viewers!

249 years ago today, Charles Hall, an entrepreneurial gentleman farmer, and Edward Woodhouse formed a partnership in the Dorset village of Ansty that would become what we know and love today as Woodhouse.

As we celebrate Founders Day, we’re reminded that a business’s true legacy isn’t just measured in years, buildings or success, but in the people, communities and connections it helps create along the way.

For generations, Founders Day has been marked by three simple traditions: giving back to the community, enjoying a slice of chocolate cake, and raising a beer together. 🍫🍺

This year, we played our small part by litter-picking around our marina. We’re proud to do it and grateful to the many local community groups who regularly give their time to keep our area looking its best. Thank you for everything you do.

Looking back over 249 years, it’s hard not to wonder what Charles and Edward would think if they could see their legacy today. Would they have imagined that their partnership would still be supporting communities nearly two and a half centuries later, contributing almost £1 million to charitable causes in the last year alone, and providing employment for generations of people?

So here’s to Edward and Charles, and to everyone who has been part of the Hall & Woodhouse story over the years.
