From the swinging sixties to today's favourites, this Somerset-based vocal and guitar duo will be taking us through the decades with a mix of songs you'll know and love 🎤✨

🍆✨ Something a little different at Downing's tonight!

Alongside our popular Pinsa Romana flatbreads and other hot food offerings, Geoff will be trialling something new this evening…

Babaganoush! 🍆

A deliciously smoky aubergine dip with tahini, garlic and a little lemon, served with flatbread.

And here's where you come in! 🍷

We'll be offering complimentary tasters to customers this evening, and we'd love to hear what you think.

We're always looking for interesting additions to our menu, and your feedback really does help us decide what stays!

So, if you're joining us for a drink tonight, you might just find yourself appointed as one of Geoff's official food critics! 😂

🍷 W**e pairing tip: Our smoky babaganoush pairs beautifully with our dry Riesling or Gikas Pine Forest, our Greek white w**e. Two lovely choices to complement those smoky, savoury flavours!

🍷✨ Five fabulous w**es and a fabulous evening! ✨🍷

What a brilliant night we had on Tuesday at our Downing’s Selection W**e Tasting!

Five very special world-class w**es, some carefully chosen food pairings and, most importantly, a wonderful group of people to share them with. 🥂❤️

One of the things we particularly enjoy about our tastings is hearing what you think! Your opinions genuinely matter to us, and the feedback we receive genuinely helps shape the w**es that find their way onto our menus and into your glasses. 🍇🍷

We had so much interest in this tasting that we added a second evening, taking place next Tuesday 3 November which is also fully booked.

📸 And if you'd like to see some photographs from Tuesday, do pop over to Nailsea People — they've captured the evening beautifully, and their photography skills are considerably better than mine! 😂❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such an enjoyable evening.

We are now also fully booked for our Christmas W**e Tasting on Tuesday 1 December with a long waiting list of customers wishing to attend so Geoff will be running a second event on Tuesday 8 December! We do still have spaces on 8th December event 🎄🥂

This will be lovely opportunity to discover five w**es with Christmas in mind, accompanied by carefully chosen food pairings.

😍 Look at this beauty!

Our latest addition to the Downing's Pinsa Romana menu is already going down a storm!

Bacon, Brie & Cranberry – generously topped with crispy bacon, rich, creamy French Brie and sweet cranberry sauce, finished with a delicate dusting of Manchego.

A gorgeous combination of savoury, creamy and sweet, served on our signature light, airy Roman-style flatbread, with that wonderfully crisp finish.

And there's plenty more to discover on our Pinsa menu, from our classic Romana and Goat's Cheese & Caramelised Onion to our spicy Nduja and flavour-packed Vegan Pinsa.

Perfect for sharing over a bottle of w**e — although we wouldn't blame you for keeping one to yourself! 🍷

🎶🍷 WOW! What a Saturday at Downing's!

What a brilliant day and evening — and what a wonderful crowd!

Our very first Saturday Social got off to a flying start with DJ Mike keeping the tunes flowing throughout the afternoon, while our £3 tapas went down an absolute treat!

And the fun didn't stop there! The fabulous EncorE joined us for the evening, bringing a lively mix of Ska, Two-Tone and party classics! 🎸🎤

The atmosphere was buzzing all day, and we couldn't have asked for a better start to our Saturday Socials!

A huge thank you to DJ Mike for the afternoon music, to Encore for a superb evening of live entertainment, and especially to everyone who joined us and made the whole day so memorable.

Days like yesterday remind us just how lucky we are to have such wonderful support.
