For the second edition of our DUB ESSENCE events, we have dug deep into the emerging UK dubtechno scene, to bring you some of the most prominent proponents of the genre to date.
VERSA
Versa crafts immersive dub journeys that blur the line between sound system culture and cinematic storytelling. Rooted in deep bass, echo-drenched textures, and hypnotic rhythms, his music pulls you inward—guiding listeners through shadowy corridors of sound and into expansive sonic landscapes.

CHALLENGER DEEP
Founded in 2018, Challenger Deep has established a reputation as the perfect home for dub traditions of the past to meet the cutting edge of modern bass music. With a diverse catalogue spanning dub, techno and dubstep, the unifying tenet of the label is a commitment to sound system music.
Operating strictly as a vinyl-only imprint and eschewing a social media presence, Challenger Deep has built its reputation on quality and intention, letting the work of the artists reach the listener undiluted.
The label’s founder is making a rare DJ appearance, with a strictly vinyl selection that showcases the sounds and influences that have shaped Challenger Deep. Deep, heavy and built for the sound system.
TIGHE
With a production process rooted in Dub mixing, Tighe melds Dubstep and Dub Techno influences into stripped-back, percussive rollers built for the soundsystem. Fresh off the release of a debut EP on Beatrice M.'s label Bait and armed with an array of unreleased productions, Tighe comes ready to take dance floors on deep, meditative journeys.
