This week, Redmaids' High School GDST Year 10 History students had the powerful opportunity to visit the Holocaust Memorial Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum

This week, our Year 10 History students had the powerful opportunity to visit the Holocaust Memorial Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum.

The visit began with an engaging and informative session led by the museum’s education team, providing essential historical context before students entered the exhibition. Following this, students took part in a thoughtful debrief, allowing them to reflect on what they had seen and learned.

The exhibition brings to life the stories of individuals among the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust through more than 2,000 photographs, books, artworks, letters, and deeply personal objects, from jewellery and clothing to toys and musical instruments. Students gained a profound understanding of both the scale of the tragedy and the human stories behind it.
