Job Title: Bar Staff / Bartender
Location: The Dog House
Reports To: Bar Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring customers have an enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take drink orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Process cash and card payments using the till system.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and surfaces.
• Restock beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies as required.
• Check identification and ensure compliance with licensing laws.
• Monitor customer behaviour and promote responsible alcohol service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including stock checks and cleaning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
Required Skills and Experience
• Previous bar or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and cash transactions.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Looking like another busy weekend ahead for Bridlington with the Fantastic Race the Waves all weekend, but if you fancy a break away or some after events refreshments why not visit us here at the Dog House, Friday we have our legendary 2 for 1 cocktails all day and night followed on Saturday from 7-00pm with the very talented Marc Clough providing quality entertainment, we have no entertainment this Sunday as we are sure there will be more than enough on the beach to keep everyone captured. But we will be serving our great range of real cask ales plus all our usual selection of drinks

We round off a busy Bank Holiday Sunday at The Dog House in Bridlington from 7.00 pm onwards. This is a hidden gem of a pub, which serves some fantastic ales & beers & is full of atmosphere!
