The Armfield Club

The Armfield Club Blackpool Supporters Club The Armfield family, the Ayre family and Brett Ormerod have been invited to open the venue.

A new Blackpool Supporters Club & Bar is set to open on Saturday 3rd October ... It will be called The Armfield Club in honour of Blackpool's greatest servant and ambassador, Jimmy Armfield CBE, DL. The Armfield family have given their support and approval of the club, along with Billy Ayre's family and Brett Ormerod, who will both have rooms dedicated to them. We have consulted with Blackpool Football Club and all supporters groups, who have given it their full backing.

Anyone else noticed The old Excelsior on Lytham Road?

Boarded up for ages, now the boards are down, fresh paint going up and a massive Blackpool FC crest on the walls inside!

Looks like the old girl at 177-181 is about to reopen as a proper Seasiders pub again. Just a 2 minute walk to Bloomfield Road - perfect timing.

Snooker tables upstairs, live sport, cold pints... you know what this place used to be like. If they do it right this could be THE pre-match pub again.

Who remembers nights in here before a game? Tag who you're taking for the first pint when the doors open! 👇
