Before he was named Wanderlust’s Top UK Tour Guide, Paul “Donzo” Donnelly spent four years working the door at Lavery’s during Belfast’s ceasefire years. From punks to politicians, students to paramilitaries, he had a front-row seat to one of the most fascinating periods in the city’s history.

Join Donzo for Pints, Punks & Paramilitaries, a unique bus tour exploring Belfast’s history, characters, music, nightlife and transformation through the eyes of a man who watched it all unfold from one of the city’s most famous pub doorways.

Part history lesson, part storytelling session and part love letter to Belfast, this 90-minute tour offers a perspective on the city you won’t find anywhere else.

Punks, politicians, students, paramilitaries. Donzo had a front-row seat to a city changing around him, all from the doorway of one of Belfast’s best-known pubs.
