Lavery’s is Belfast’s oldest family-owned pub, at the heart of the city’s social life for almost 100 years. Perfectly located a short distance from both the city centre and the vibrant Queen’s Quarter, it’s a versatile, lively entertainment venue with the charm of a traditional Irish pub. With four bars offering food, live sport and free entertainment, two roof terraces, a street-level beer garden and Northern Ireland’s largest pool room, Lavery’s offers something for everyone.

Another sold out double decker & Donzo is back with Pints, Punks & Paramilitaries on Saturday 19th September.

Before he was named Wanderlust’s Top UK Tour Guide, Paul “Donzo” Donnelly spent four years working the door at Lavery’s during Belfast’s ceasefire years.

Punks, politicians, students, paramilitaries. Donzo had a front-row seat to a city changing around him, all from the doorway of one of Belfast’s best-known pubs.

Now he’s taking those stories back onto the road.

Pints, Punks & Paramilitaries is 90 minutes of Belfast history, music, nightlife, characters and stories you’re unlikely to hear on any other city tour.

And, naturally, there’s a pint waiting for you back at Lavery’s when the bus returns.

The last ones have sold out, so don’t hang about.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: Pints, Punks, & Paramilitaries with Donzo.

After the huge success of our Fleadh bus tours, Pints, Punks & Paramilitaries is back for a special pre-Stiff Little Fingers edition.

Before he was named Wanderlust’s Top UK Tour Guide, Paul “Donzo” Donnelly spent four years working the door at Lavery’s during Belfast’s ceasefire years.

From punks to politicians, students to paramilitaries, Donzo had a front-row seat to one of the most fascinating periods in Belfast’s recent history, including the city’s legendary punk scene and the characters who passed through its pubs, clubs and streets.

Jump on the bus for a 90-minute tour through Belfast’s history, music, nightlife and transformation, told through the eyes of someone who watched it unfold from the doorway of one of the city’s most famous pubs.

Part history lesson, part storytelling session and part love letter to Belfast.

And because it’s SLF day, we’ll have you back at Lavery’s in plenty of time for a pint (or two) before heading on to the gig.

Saturday 22nd August
11am departure
90 minutes

Departs from Brew+Ferment beside Lavery's.

Guided bus tour + pint in Lavery’s at the end of the tour are included in your ticket price.
