Run by a Husband and Wife team, Lee and Suzy offer you a very warm welcome to The Devil’s Stone Inn, a 400-year-old traditional Devon coaching inn set on the edge of the village square in Shebbear. The pub takes its name from the mysterious Devil’s Stone

which lays outside the church hall in the square. The Devil’s Stone is turned by the church bell ringers every 5th of November in a long-standing tradition to trap the Devil beneath the stone, safeguard the village and ward off evil for another year. Serving cask ales, locally sourced food, fine wines, with 5 en-suite bed and breakfast letting rooms plus a large beer garden. The Devil’s Stone is also well known as one of the most haunted pubs in Devon. Food service times:
Lunch: Fri/Sat/Sun 12pm – 3pm
Evening: Mon/Weds/Thurs 6pm – 8pm, Friday and Saturday 6-8.30pm

What a brilliant day yesterday remembering Rog, thank you Phase '90 - 90's Indie & Britpop for the music, you had them all up dancing for sure!

We have a lot of raffle prizes that need collecting so let me know if you’ve left yours behind, or check your tickets as I have the numbers on them.

We are open today from 12pm through to 10pm tonight.

Today's the day - and what a day!! We come together as a community to remember our dearly missed friend Roger Marshall and raising vital funds for the Devon Air Ambulance.

The football match is at 2pm up at Shebbear United ground then back here after.

SURPRISE! We have signed up with TNT sports and we will be showing the Champions League Final at 5pm in the bar and on a screen in the garden!

RAFFLE: There is a mega raffle/auction at 8pm with some really fabulous prizes including VIP tickets to Sheb Fest

LIVE MUSIC: We have the fabulous Phase '90 - 90's Indie & Britpop playing live in the garden from 8.45pm.

This event is open to all - so come along and join in the fun 😍😎🥳⚽️.

Happy Friday! The weather is a little cooler today but still lovely to sit out in our beautiful beer garden. Thanks to Daisychain garden nursery in Hatherleigh for our beautiful hanging baskets, they are springing in to life with all of this sunshine, the new troughs under the windows are filling out beautifully too 😍.

The DSI Charity Dartathon Fundraising Update.

On the 9th of May our squad of volunteers took on the challenge of a 12 hour Dartathon in aid of The North Devon Children’s Holiday Foundation, a wonderful charity taking terminally ill children on the holiday of a lifetime.

It was a brilliant day – the atmosphere was great with lots of laughs along the way. We even saw a fair few 180’s with Paul Higgins and Si Larkworthy on 4 a piece, Chris Wharton and Kev Beer hit 2 each and Tom Hammond, Chris Wildern, Terry England and Dave Lee also joined the 180 club.

The founder, Robin Buckland joined us for breakfast before the day started and shared with us some personal stories of some of the children that they have helped over the years. It was truly moving and so inspiriting to learn what a difference these trips have made to their young lives who have already been through so much.

With most monies now collected and added to the grand total, I am pleased to share, with your generosity we have raised a massive £2549!!!

Last Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting a lovely local couple’s wedding reception. The weather gods were certainly smiling on them as it was the most beautiful day, and we wish Ian & Clare every happiness and many years together ❤️.

We provided a bespoke hot/cold buffet menu and desserts; the pub was decorated with wonderful locally grown flowers and the new private dining area doubled up as the perfect area to serve the food from.
