Dinner with a side of swing 🎷

Jazz Supper Club is back at Winyard’s Gap this autumn, bringing together delicious food, wonderful live music and three relaxed Sunday evenings in great company.

🎶 Sunday 27 September - Kate Mullins & Her Quartet
🎶 Sunday 25 October - Dylan Ross with Piano & Bass
🎶 Sunday 29 November - Maggie Reeday

Arrive from 6.30pm, with supper and live jazz from 7pm.

£35 per person, including a two-course supper and live jazz.

Last hurrah of summer!

This Friday 4th September, we’re making the most of those last summer evenings at Winyard’s Gap.

We’re delighted to be welcoming back Isle 45 - kicking off around 6pm, bringing us a few hours of great music and good vibes.

There’s no rain in the forecast, but as the evening cools down, wrap up warm and come enjoy the last days of summer with us.

Grab a drink, find a spot and settle in for a brilliant Friday evening.

What a summer it’s been!

As summer draws to a close, we’re looking back on some brilliant days, great nights and plenty of fantastic live music.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful customers — especially our loyal regulars who we’ve had the pleasure of seeing lots over the summer. Your continued support really does mean so much to us.

And an equally big thank you to our incredible team, who have worked exceptionally hard throughout a busy summer to keep everything running and make sure everyone has a great time.

And now, we’re looking ahead to cosy autumn days and — dare we say it — Christmas!

Fancy joining us behind the bar? We’re looking for someone to join our bar team on a part-time basis from the week commencing 14th September.
The shifts we’re looking to cover are:
👉 Thursday evenings
👉 Friday evenings
👉 Saturdays

We’re after someone who’s friendly, reliable and happy getting stuck in when things get busy. Bar experience is preferred, but just as important is having the right attitude and being good with people.

It could be perfect if you’re looking for a few regular shifts alongside another job, studies or other commitments.

We’re making the most of these last few weekends of summer, and with the weather still looking pretty good, we’ve got two evenings of live music to enjoy at Winyard’s Gap this weekend.

FRIDAY — THE RENEGADES | 6.30PM
Start your weekend with live music from The Renegades, kicking off from 6.30pm. Our Garden Menu will be available throughout the evening, so grab some food, find yourself a spot with a view and enjoy a Friday evening of live music, good food and a few drinks.

SUNDAY — MILK & TWO | 5PM
After Sunday lunch, stick around and wind down with Milk & Two from 5pm. A relaxed way to finish the weekend and make the most of a summer Sunday evening. The bar will be open until 9pm, so there’s plenty of time to settle in and enjoy the music, a drink and those Winyard’s Gap views.

Two great evenings, one weekend — come and make the most of the last of summer with us.

What a night! 🌒✨

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came up to join us for the partial solar eclipse on Wednesday.

We were honestly blown away by the turnout. It was the busiest we have ever seen the pub, and we simply hadn’t anticipated just how many people would choose to come and experience it with us. What an amazing surprise!

Inevitably, with so many people arriving at once, there were some long queues at the bar. We had 4–5 members of the team serving and they worked incredibly hard all evening to get everyone served as quickly as they could. We’re hugely proud of them and very grateful to everyone who waited patiently.

Despite how busy it was, the atmosphere was absolutely lovely. We handed out free eclipse glasses, had live music for everyone to enjoy, and it was wonderful seeing so many people gathered together taking in the eclipse from our beautiful view.

We’ve had so many lovely comments from people who enjoyed the evening, and it really did feel like a special moment for our community.
Thank you to everyone who came up, embraced the occasion and helped create such a brilliant atmosphere — and a particularly big thank you to our team, who absolutely worked their socks off all evening.

We hope the memories last much longer than the queues did. 😉

We’re lucky enough to have a north-west facing garden with a brilliant open view of the evening sky – so we’re making the most of it for this summer’s partial solar eclipse. Join us for an evening in the garden with live music, drinks, food and one very unusual Dorset sunset.

August may have only just started, but we’re already thinking ahead to going back to school after the summer holidays!

Winyard’s Gap Inn is looking for friendly, reliable runners to join our pub team — a great opportunity for school-aged youngsters who would like to earn some extra money, gain valuable work experience and become part of a busy, welcoming team.

The role includes supporting our front-of-house team, running food to tables and helping us provide the warm, friendly service our guests know and love.
