Last Thursday at the Vaults we had the pleasure of featuring Olivia Cuttill the 2026 winner of the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Best Newcomer. This little clip will tell you why and if you weren't there what you missed. Don't miss out on seeing our next guest on Nov. 5th, multi award winning Saxophonist, Mark Lockheart (well he has been playing longer than Olivia). Thanks to Karen Sharp for providing a great night of "thoughtful" soloing. Lots of people came up to me at the end of the night and said how enjoyable it. Despite what the attached photo might suggest there was more than one person in the audience, in fact we were sold out (honest). This Thursday the 22nd we have trumpeter Olivia Cuttill, this year's winner of the Parliamentary Jazz Award for best New Comer and I quote "a trumpeter of striking tone and confidence. Her musicality and presence signal a bright future". Of course you want to be there! Advanced tickets from Bath Box Office or at the door on the night.

Now that was a great start to the Autumn! A sold out Vaults entertained by the marvellous Mr Dennis Rollins. If he is great Trombome player, which he most certainly is, then I can confirm he is also a great musician and a wonderful person to work with. The video shows him playing "Mr Magic" which he certainly is. More magic this Thursdsy with Karen Sharp, award winning Sax Player. Get your advanced tickets from Bath Box Office or take chance on there still be some available at the door on the night, but we have been selling out our gigs for some time now, just saying....

And we're back. Yes I know it was a long summer break but our opening night for this Autumn is something really special! We have one of Britain's top trombone players Mr Dennis Rollins MBE with us on Thursday September 24th. Usual times, doors open at 8 pm. and first set at 8.30. Advance tickets £15 (+£1.50 handling fee) from Bath Box Office or if you are prepared to risk it, (could have sold out) at the door on the night. See you all there.

What a privilege to have one of Britain's great jazz guitarists travel down from London to play here in Bath at St James W**e Vaults. Yes Mr Kim Mullen was with us on the 30th of April. Our next guest is the extremely talented Sax Player/Composer/Arranger Sophie Stockham Btown. This will be our last gig of the Spring/Summer sessions as we take a break before starting up again in September so DON'T MISS IT!
