This Sunday from 6:30pm - The Two Phils 🎸🎤
We’re delighted to welcome Phil McKee and Phil McCarroll back to TKQ. These two have built a great following around Bangor with a set packed full of classic rock, pop, soul, indie, blues, country and folk. Two great musicians who clearly love what they do 🙌

Two days, two very different sounds and plenty of reasons to get down for a pint and some proper live music 🍺💙

If you like your weekends with a bit of atmosphere, good company and talented local musicians, The King’s Quay is the place to be 🥂

🍷🇫🇷 THIS WEDNESDAY – Wine Not Wednesday: France 🇫🇷🍷

We’re down to the last few days before this month’s Wine Not Wednesday… so if you’ve been meaning to book, this is your nudge 👀

Join us this Wednesday 16th September at 8pm for a relaxed trip through the wines of France with the one and only Maso. Great bottles, interesting stories, plenty of chat, and the usual brilliant Wine not Wednesday atmosphere 🍇✨

These nights are always great fun and not to be missed. If you were at our last Spanisg wine night, you'll know what I mean 💥🍷

⚽️🍻 FOOTBALL THIS SUNDAY AT THE KING’S QUAY 🍻⚽️

Two Premier League games, one big screen, and a very good excuse to spend Sunday afternoon at TKQ 😎

2pm - Coventry vs Brighton
Coventry are still chasing their first league point, but they gave Man City a proper game last weekend and only lost 1-0. Brighton, meanwhile, have already shown they’ve got goals in them this season, so this could be a lively opener 👀⚽️

4:30pm – Man United vs Man City
Then it’s the big one - Manchester Derby time 🔴🔵🔥
United come in after a dramatic 2-2 draw at Everton, while City have won all three of their opening league matches. Add Old Trafford, local bragging rights and a bit of early-season needle… this one should be spicy 💥

As always, we’ll have the football on the big screen, the Guinness flowing, Bangor Bay Brewery beers on tap, and the usual great TKQ atmosphere 🍺💙

Get down early, grab a good spot and settle in for Sunday Football done properly 🙌

🍷🇫🇷 Wine Not Wednesday is off to France next… and this one should be a cracker.

On Wednesday 16th September at 8pm, Maso is taking us on a Tour de France. A whistle stop trip through some of France’s best known wine regions, all without having to leave Bangor 😏🍇

Expect a cracking selection of French wines, plenty of stories and chat from Maso, a delicious charcuterie from The Big Cheese Belfast, and the relaxed, good-humoured atmosphere that has made these nights such a favourite at TKQ 🧀🍷✨

And after the last few Wine Not Wednesdays filling up so quickly, we wouldn’t leave this one sitting in the “we must book that” group chat for too long 👀

⚽️🍻 SUNDAY FOOTBALL at The King’s Quay 🍻⚽️

Two big Premier League games, on the big screen, and a great excuse to spend Sunday afternoon at TKQ 😎

🔵 2pm - Everton vs Man United 🔴
Everton have started the season well (unbeaten!), while United arrive after smashing five past Ipswich (which was after losing to Hull 🐯). Add David Moyes facing his old club into the mix and there’s plenty of spice in this one already 👀🔥

🔴 4:30pm - Arsenal vs Chelsea 🔵
Then it’s straight into a proper London derby. Both sides have won their opening two league games, Arsenal are the reigning champions, and Chelsea would probably quite like to end a run of three straight defeats against the Gunners 😏 This should be a belter.

We’ll have both games live with the usual great TKQ atmosphere, cracking pints of Guinness and Bangor Bay Brewery beer pouring at the bar 🍺💙

Round up the football crew, get your seats early and settle in for Super Sunday done properly 🙌⚽️🍻

It’s been a few weeks, but we are delighted to announce that Pluckin’ About are back at The King’s Quay this Saturday 🙌☘️

They’re on from 5pm on Saturday 5th September, bringing the brilliant trad tunes, energy and craic that always go down a storm with our customers 🎶🔥

If you’ve seen them here before then you’ll know exactly why we’re so happy to have them back. If you haven’t, this is a very great time to fix that 😏

Grab a few friends, get yourselves down early and settle in for a cracking Saturday evening at TKQ 🍺💙
