🎶 NEW LIVE Music at The King’s Quay 🎶

If you’re looking for a good excuse to get out of the house next Sunday 21st June, we’ve got you covered 😌🍻

From 6–9pm, we’re delighted to welcome The Two Phils to The King’s Quay for their debut show with us, and we know this is going to be a really popular one 🙌

Made up of Phil McKee and Phil McCarroll, these two gents first bonded over a shared love of music, vinyl and great songs in Choons, Bangor 🎸💿 Since then, they’ve built up a strong following around Northern Ireland with sets full of classic rock, pop, soul, indie, blues, country and folk. Basically, brilliant songs played by two local lads who clearly love what they do 🎤✨🫶🏻

So whether you’re down with friends, bringing the family out, or just fancy a Sunday evening with great live music, good pints and a warm King’s Quay atmosphere, get yourselves down 💙

A Father’s Day pint and a cracking soundtrack? Hard to argue with that 🍺😉

⚽️🌍 The World Cup kicks off tomorrow night (Thursday 11th), and we’re ready to bring the carnival atmosphere straight to The King’s Quay! 🎉

We’ll have the opening match of Mexico v South Africa at 8pm, and there’s no better spot to soak it all in! 🙌 We’ll be showing as many of the matches as we can, pouring refreshing drinks (including our own Bangor Bay Brewery beers!) and making it a World Cup to remember. 🍺⚽️

And here’s the kicker: We’ve launched a very special King’s Quay World Cup Charity Sweepstake! 👀

🎟️ For £10 per pick, you get to draw a random team. Whichever team wins the World Cup, the lucky customer who drew that team will take home a very special prize - a Limited Edition, Shanky's Whip | Golden Ostrich Bottle (see the picture) 👌
And best yet, all proceeds go to charity. 🙌

Be warned though, the teams are going fast, only 48 to start with and 8 are already gone! Ask at the bar if you want in. 😉

So grab your mates, grab your spot and let’s make The King’s Quay your World Cup home. Let the games begin! 🌍🏆

🌍⚽️ The World Cup kicks off next week, and while Northern Ireland didn’t make it this time (we’ll keep the dream alive!), we’re still buzzing to watch every moment with you at The King’s Quay! 😍

We’ll be aiming to show as many matches on the big screen as we can, and because it’s The King’s Quay, we’ll have plenty of top-class drinks to keep you refreshed. This includes our very own Bangor Bay Brewery beers on tap 🍻 (trust us, a pint of Bangor’s finest and a World Cup game are a match made in heaven 👌).

Who knows, there might even be a few surprises at the bar along the way. After all, it’s the World Cup and we like to keep things interesting 👀🎉

So round up your mates, grab a seat and make The King’s Quay your World Cup home for the tournament. Great football, great beer and great craic - what more do you want?! 🙌🍺

🎶 Four days of LIVE music at The King’s Quay 🎶

If there’s one thing we love at TKQ, it’s a bar with a bit of life in it and our customers clearly agree 💙 So from tomorrow (Thursday) right through to Sunday, we’ve got four days of live music lined up to keep the place sounding as good as ever 🍻✨

Thursday 4th June - Trad Thursday from 7:30pm 🍀🎻
The perfect way to get the weekend started early. Great tunes, great atmosphere and always a lovely bit of craic.

Friday 5th - Pluckin’ About from 5:30pm 🎸🍺
A proper King’s Quay favourite at this stage. These lads always bring a great buzz and are just the job for easing into a Friday evening.

Saturday 6th - Papa John from 7:30pm 🎤🔥
A new face for us on Saturday night, which always adds a bit of excitement. Come down, grab a drink and help us give John a proper King’s Quay welcome. We can't wait to hear him play.

Sunday 7th - Johnny Irwin from 5:30pm 🎶☀️
Johnny’s always a great way to round off the weekend - easy going, full of charm and exactly the sort of Sunday soundtrack we like around here.

So if you fancy a weekend with great music, great people and great craic, you know where we are 😎🍻

⚽️🍻 Saturday at The King’s Quay = sorted 🍻⚽️

We’ve got a cracking summer Saturday lined up for you this weekend 😍

First up, it’s the Champions League Final live on the big screen at 5pm as Arsenal take on PSG in Budapest. Arsenal are in only their second ever European Cup final, while PSG are trying to make it back-to-back Champions League wins, so there’s plenty on the line and absolutely no shortage of drama 👀🏆🔥

Then from 7pm, our usual favourites Pluckin’ About will be in to keep the good times rolling 🎸✨ They always bring a great buzz to the bar and are the perfect way to carry the night on after the football.

And for the beer lovers, we’ll have our Bangor’s Best Bitter on tap for as long as it lasts 🍺 This is a proper local pint from Bangor Bay Brewery, full of character and well worth getting stuck into while you can. We got fantastic feedback from this beer last time around so expect it to disappear fast!

So whether you’re joining us for the football, the music, the pints or just a bit of Saturday craic, get yourselves down to The King’s Quay this weekend ☀️🍻

We’re delighted to welcome Njambi back to The King’s Quay, and if you’ve seen her here before, you’ll already know just how special she is 😍 Expect gorgeous soulful sounds, plenty of warmth, and the kind of voice that can stop people mid-sip 🍷✨

She’ll be joined by Ioannis Tsioulakis, a brilliant Greek pianist with years of performing experience, so you can expect a classy, feel-good afternoon of live music with a real summer soul vibe 🎹🌿

Perfect for a Sunday catch-up, a glass of something nice, and a couple of hours of top-class music in great company 🍻☀️

🌊☀️ Sea Bangor weekend, a bank holiday, a bit of good weather on the way? That’ll do nicely 😍🍻

If you’re heading into town to enjoy the festival, call in and see us along the way. We’re really looking forward to the city having a great buzz this weekend and we’d love to welcome you in for a pint, a catch-up and a wee break from all the excitement 💙

On the taps, we’ll have our very own Bangor Bay Brewery Scottish Ale - 'Ulster Scots' pouring 🍺
Full of lovely malty character and exactly the sort of pint that feels right at home on a bank holiday weekend. If you like your beer local, this one should be right up your street 🙌

We’ve got the music sorted too…
🎸 Pluckin About playing live on Saturday
🎤 Johnny Irwin with us on Sunday

For all the sports fans, Sunday is shaping up nicely ⚽️🍻 It’s the final day of the Premiership, with all matches kicking off at 4pm, so we’ll have the football on in all its final-day glory - drama, tension, calculators out, the lot 😅
Then once the final whistles blow, Johnny Irwin will be with us live to keep the good vibes going into the evening ✨

So whether you’re down for the festival, taking in the sunshine, following the football, or just looking for a friendly bar with great music, good beer and a lovely atmosphere, get yourselves down to The King’s Quay this weekend ✨🍻
