Some of northern Ireland's best billiards players will battle it out for the coveted title in memory of one of the finest Snooker and Billiards players in Northern Ireland - Billy Hanna.

2024 BILLY HANNA CLASSIC

We are delighted to announce the draw and schedule for our first tournament of 2024, the Billy Hanna Classic, taking place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th January in The Reading Rooms, Bangor.

Preliminary matches, last 16 and quarter finals will all be played on the Saturday lasting 90 minutes each. The semi finals and final will be played on the Sunday and will be 120 minutes each.

We are delighted to have received a large number of entrants for this event. To facilitate this, the first 4 sessions on the Saturday will all start immediately after the preceding match finishes. We also ask that all players be present and ready to play 5-10 minutes before their scheduled start time. This is to help us ensure that the tables can be handed back to the host club at the end of the day in a very timely manner. Any late arrival may receive a score penalty.

Dress code for this event will be trousers, shoes and shirt. No jeans, trainers or polo shirts will be allowed. Waistcoat and bow tie will be required for the semi finals and final. Entry fee will be £10.

We would like to thank Keith McCready and all members at The Reading Rooms for their help and generosity in hosting this long standing event.
