Hive Stores is an independent specialty coffee shop and neighbourhood bar based in Altrincham. Coffee Shop & Bar

Dedicated to great hospitality and creating a non pretentious atmosphere, we serve artisan espresso based drinks and fresh bakes during the daytime, before turning down the lights for pouring the draught beer, great wines, and outstanding cocktails come the evening.

Ste and Ellie enjoyed seeing all of the costumes from the kids from the neighborhood. Such a great effort made.
We hope you all enjoyed picking your sweets from their bloody surgeons tray that Ste and Ellie handed out. 🩸🫀😅

Happy Halloween 🎃👻

We've got plenty of spooky treats for the kids... and the adults today. Steven and Ellie will be handing out free sweets to trick or treaters in freaky fancy dress this evening.
There's plenty of spooky shortdead ghost biscuits in the cake cabinet, and plenty of w**e and b**r in the bar for adults to enjoy whilst the kids count their candy stash ☺️

Introducing our NEW CHEESE BOARD 🧀

3 artisan cheeses accompanied by sticky fig and Balsamic relish, sourdough crackers and seasonal fruits such as blackberries.

The cheeses :

Bidlea blue cheese. Made only 15 miles from Hive stores by our friends , this award winning cheese is bound in fig leaves, which mellows out the tanginess often associated with blue cheese and gives it a lovely earthiness.

Kidderton goats cheese. This cheese is coated in active charcoal before aging. This mellows out the 'Goatyness' and makes this cheese really creamy!

Stithians cheese. This cheese is similar in texture to a mature cheddar, but is nutty and creamy all at the same time.

Enjoy this with a full bodied white w**e, like one of our chenin blancs. Or for a delicious red w**e pairing, enjoy this with a smooth carginan or a ganache noir.

Well, I'm just going to have a little bragging moment because it's my little corner of Facebook and I can! 😆
The last two of our autumn w**e tastings have been an absolute blast! My confidence has grown so much when it comes to talking about w**e, and I love speaking about it like a normal person at our w**e tastings—never like a pretentious w**e wa**er 😆
It seems that all of you enjoy my style too. ♥️

All of our w**e tastings are delivered in a relaxed atmosphere, always with a good sense of humour, because... well, it's w**e, and w**e should always be fun. Agreed?
There's also not many w**e tastings where you'll hear the word clunge 🤣 As we found out last night 🤭

I'll be posting about our next event soon, which will be a festive Christmas w**e tasting featuring delicious tipples like Ch*****ne and other boujee boozes!

FEELING STRESSED?

I would joke you should try working with this one ☝️to understand the definition of stress….

But I think a Doctor would actually prescribe a midweek Wednesday evening visit to Ethan to try his new Autumn cocktail of the month…

I asked him to style it with some foliage and something nice / cute… so foliage and Ethan it is then 😂

A reminder that Ethan has the reigns on a Wednesday evening between 5pm - 9pm. So make sure you pay him a visit and keep him working hard!
