It’s with deep sadness that I have to announce that we’ve had our Sexual Entertainment License refused, meaning we will not longer be able to operate as a lap dancing bar.
After 24 years of being in Altrincham the bright sparks on the council have decided ‘the location is no longer appropriate for our establishment’ with complaints coming from new residents of the flats nearby who have been shocked to find a lap dancing bar that’s been there for 24 years next to the their newly built accommodation.
This decision will affect the livelihoods of 30+ women working in a safe, legal and licensed environment which has never had a mark against its license from any direct governmental body (police or licensing).
Me and my family grew up and still live around Altrincham, we are the longest standing independent bar in Altrincham to my knowledge and now we’ve been told we don’t belong anymore.
I have loved being part of the Altrinchams diverse nightlife scene and it’s a shame we will no longer be able to operate how we have been previously.
We will be appealing this subjective, close minded decision that has been made by the council.
Moving forward we will still be OPEN in the same premises with the same hours operating as a nightclub.
